We really enjoyed our tour of the vegetable plots, and they had a laugh when we had a go at hoeing, raking, planting etc. So did we! And a wonderful foot massage to follow! Then a delicious lunch. It wasn't crowded when we were there. Very interesting, very friendly.

Our family of 5 (3 kids - 11, 7 and 3 year old) really enjoyed ourselves over the wonderful experience of rice-paper making, herb planting and authentic cao lao noodles with fresh herbs from the farm. Mr Hung and staff were extremely hospitable and we came away enthralled. Thank you! We will be back!

Just returned from Viet Nam and one of the highlights was our visit to Tra Que Herb farm and meeting Tran and his warm and gracious family. Their home is beautiful and captures the essence of life in this region without being a "tourist trap." We watched the family prepare special food for the Tet holiday and then got to eat it. It was absolutely delicious and a wonderful experience.

We did the bicycle ecotour using bikes from our hotel and local guide. I would highly recommend this visit to the organic farm, learn to cook a couple of local dishes using fresh organic veggie and herbs from their farm and then eating the very yummy food. You can also get hands on and try a little farming: running the bamboo water wheel, prepping a plot with seaweed and watering the traditional way. It's at a very tranquil location and staff were very friendly and lovely to spend time with.

We did the combo ecotour which includes a scenic 1 hour bicycle ride along the waterfront, a stop to a fishing village to go crab fishing in a traditional round rattan boat in the Palm canals. It sounded cheesy, but was actually very fun and the fisherwoman who took us out are locals who do this for extra income for their family. Ride up to this point is easy and flat roads.

But the scenic ride though the rice patties gets more difficult on unpaved rutted country roads to the organic farm. If not athletic, I recommend taking a cyclo (pedicab) instead. You can also just do the Organic farm and have lunch there, which is a short bicycle ride on paved road or by taxi.

We had the great time and this is still new so it's no mobbed by tourists yet.

I don't think there is another farm as Organic as this one in all of Vietnam. The host family eloquently talks about their commitment to healthy, local foods, and then prepares a mouth watering feast from their family kitchen. We brought our own wine (they don't serve it unless you ask in advance, which you can, and they have access to a great selection). Many people JUST come here for the tour and tea, which is a big mistake. Arrange for lunch or dinner!
