Cheap, clean, simple little hotel with friendly and helpful staff - the gentleman with the glasses looks very serious at first but always beams a big smile in the end. Just outside the old town, but in a good location. Hoi An isn't that big a town anyway. Highly recommend staying here if you're backpacking or staying in Hoi An for one or two nights.

I was blown away at the friendly staff, the excellent sort of a la carte buffet breakfast and the very clean rooms. The price - 25 dollars for 2 people- leads u to believe this is a hostel of sorts, but everything else is more like a 3 star hotel. The bathrooms are a bit .. mundane, but working and very clean and fresh towels every day. As much as 4 computers with internet for those of us without smartphones, it's wonderful to get to a computer without a hassle.
Breakfast on the paddio, where the manager is also at his toes to make sure u are tended to. It's almost like being at your grandparents!
Loved loved loved it here.

We thought we'd booked two twin rooms at the Thien Nga Hotel on Agoda but noticed when we arrived that - by accident - we had only booked on room. Even though it was close to midnight the receptionist managed to offer us a second twin room.
Both rooms were large, the one on the ground floor was larger, the one on the first floor a little smaller but this one had a balcony.

There was a small table, chairs, a shelf and a wardrobe. We also had an air con. There was no safe, you could leave your valuables at the reception.

The rooms were clean, but as the windows at the back go out to a field, you can expect some insects if you leave the windows open too long.

The bathrooms were small and had certainly seen better days. They were not dirty but damp and had visible traces of mould. I suppose it could not hurt to refurbish them in the next couple of months.

Wifi was included and there were 5 laptops for guest's use in the lobby.

The included breakfast was buffet style and quite good. You could also ask to get freshly prepared pancakes or omlettes and fruit shakes.

The location was great. Not directly in the first three streets parallel to the river, but a little further up. It took about 5 - 10 mins to walk into the city centre or about 5 km to the Cua Dai or An Bang (our favourite!) beach.

We loved Hoi An and our stay in Thien Nga was really good. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: We slept towards the back and that was pretty quiet. I think some rooms go to the street, which migh...

This hotel is in a great location, you can walk everywhere. Everything you could want - clean, comfortable, good wifi, and a good breakfast. We hired bikes and went to the Tra Que herb village, and also found out that the Silk Village is very close by. There's a great restaurant called Bamboo just up the road that we ate at many times. We also got shoes made on the same street. The staff are lovely and helpful - we asked for hot water to drink and they delivered a huge thermos that stayed hot for hours. I would definitely stay here again.

This is a efficiently run hotel in a great location in Hoi An. The rooms were clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast dining area really nice and breakfast itself was pretty good. No functioning pool at the moment although it says there is online. The manager was very apologetic. Everything else about the place was good though.

We stayed here for a week. We booked two rooms for our group of four, and negotiated $22 a room with breakfast included. If you book online their rates are much higher, but at what we paid, it was excellent value for the money:
- clean tasteful rooms, a step up from anything else we saw in Vietnam in this price range
- housekeeping staff are attentive and will make up your room daily or leave you alone if you choose
- front desk staff very helpful and accommodating, will arrange motorbike hire and taxi upon your departure at reasonable prices.
- great free breakfast with unlimited tea and coffee and fruit, with eggs or pancakes cooked to order (one review said the breakfast wasnt good, but i disagree--- most free breakfasts hotels in Southeast Asia offer are pretty lousy by comparison. We enjoyed the breakfast--- the filling breakfast is what made this place a great value in our book.
One review mentions the shower being substandard--- my thoughts: in my experience this is what showers are like in the budget price range in SE Asia. Its not my shower at home thats for sure, but it got the job done, water was hot, and it was comparable to other showers in this price range that we have seen throughout our travels in this part of the world.

I have no idea what the streets are like in the rainy season so i cannot speak to that, but in december it was a great location, pretty quiet but quick walk into the main action.

Room Tip: Top floor rooms have cool attic type ceilings adding great character, but many of the lower floor ro...
