We stayed here for 4 nights. They offered us free pickup from the bus station and even upgraded our standard double to a superior room at no cost which included a buffet breakfast in the morning with a variety of breakfast foods to choose from. Great location and staff were friendly and spoke good English. Clean and spacious rooms, a nice change from staying in hostels.

The positives - free pick up and breakfast included. Reasonably priced accommodation and food. The room seems clean. It has a pool.

However, the cleaners sleep in the clean linen cupboard, rubbish from the rooms is strewn in the corridors, bags and other bits and bobs are everywhere. The staff do take you to your room but then lounge around in reception.

It's average and the limitations of the place were exacerbated by the fact we just came from an exceptionally good hotel in Hue.

We booked our bus tickets to Hanoi via the hotel reception, knowing that it was a slightly inflated price, but we didn't have time to find the bus company directly. We specifically asked for Hanh Cafe, and they explained that it would be more expensive but confirmed what we already knew, in that the cheaper companies have terrible service. The tickets were $24 each (extortionate here) and we mentioned that Sinh Tourist costs $21. They explained that Sinh uses a normal bus to Hue, then changes to a sleeper, but we wanted a sleeper the whole way. We also specified that we did not want a bus with a toilet on at all (they reek) and were of course told that it didn't.
They stole our money and bought much cheaper tickets with Camel Travel. There was, of course, a putrid smelling toilet in use the whole way. We had a normal bus to Hue, not a sleeper. One of the drivers was next to us at the back and came back from each driving stint stinking even more of alcohol. It was a hideous journey.

Oh, and when we went to collect the tickets, they tried to increase the price to $28.

So, aside from them stealing from us and lying, now to the hotel. I was ill one evening so ordered a cheese toastie to the room. I can't even describe what came back. Firstly, there was no cheese. Secondly, the bread was indescribably foul. Around 6 inches thick and weighing in at around 6 pounds per slice, the solid grey, stale mass was revolting.

The laundry we had done came back damp, so we had to get it done again by somebody who could manage such a simple task.

The pool they advertise is unusable. It's literally right in the middle of the foyer, where breakfast is served. It's tiny and freezing.

Every day they slammed into our room when we were in bed, giggling and taking their time to leave, and STILL refusing to knock the next day.

So, not a great hotel. Thieving scum.

Room Tip: Choose a room in a different hotel.

The hotel offered us a ride from the bus station for free, which we gladly took after a long bus ride. The hotel was great, we ended up staying for 5 nights. The staff were friendly and spoke good English so they were helpful advisors on what to do and not do in Hoi An. Our room had two bunk beds, a bathroom and air conditioning. The room was cleaned everyday. We paid around 9US per person per night, this included a delicious buffet breakfast and access to free wifi and swimming pool. Overall we really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It's on a quiet street that is 10min from the city centre. The hotel is go0od for all kinds of ages. Thank you Hoa Binh

We stayed at Hoa Binh as they offered us a ride into town to look at the hotel for free. We liked the look of it, and ended up staying for 4 nights. Our room was small with no outside-facing windows, and the TV didn't work, but it was very clean and we didn't want a room that we were going to spend much time in anyway! The breakfast buffet is included in the very reasonable price of the hotel, and has so many options, different every day! Definitely would recommend!

My friend and I decided to splurge and got a "supreme" private room for about $12/person a night each. The room was very clean, had a bathtub(!), comfortable beds, warm blankets, a tv, aircon, wifi and a balcony. We thought we died and went to heaven after some of the dirty, seedy places we had been staying at prior. The breakfast was a buffet style and was frequently stocked with someone there to make omelets. The staff were very friendly and helpful, even gave us water bottles for the ride to our next destination which was nice touch. The location is just a short walk from the action, and you can rent bikes across the street for $1/day. Would highly reccomend.

Got a free room upgrade when we arrived. Great selection for breakfast, cornflakes, eggs cook in front of you. There were 3 - 4 computers in reception with internet access. Never noticed anyone waiting to get on one. Really clean and tidy rooms and communal areas. Had several friends staying here in different types of room and they all thought it was a good hotel.
