Description: This restaurant í the sister restaurant to Mango Mango on the other side òf the river. It is next door to Cargo on Nguyen Thai Hoc Street. We'd bêen recommended it by Randys Book Store, although we were warned that it was pricey. We were disappointed with our meal, ás the staff were grumpy when the wine turned up too warm and fizzy (sauvingnon blanc) and they refused to change it at first. We ordered mains for $18 and $22. Highly overpriced for Vietnam...not that special at all. We felt well and truly ripped off!

“Very cosy, very tasty!”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

Living in northern Haiphong for over two years, this Vietnamese food is quite something different, in the positive way. We were really surprised! We were six people and all our drinks and dishes were very tasty. The interior felt more Mexican than Asian/Vietnamese, but anyhow, it was real cosy with colorful cussions and romantic light. We definitely goung to return!

“Beautiful food - Not the cheapest, but still not the most expensive in Hoi An”
Reviewed August 30, 2013

I ate here twice while in Hoi An for 5 days and it's much better than most of the more popular tourist restaurants. Our group paid about $12-$15 per head with drinks, although the first night we had a few bottles of red which really jacked up the price. The service, like most in Vietnam was excellent.

“Drinks yes!!! Food no!!!”
Reviewed August 26, 2013

Yes, it is a beautiful building (sit upstairs for more calm) with a very nice view and the half price happy hour cocktails are great. Similarly the service is good. Unfortunately the food is a major disappointment, especially given the high cost relative to other Hoi An restaurants (most expensive in Hoi An?). Shrimp appetizer had no taste, lots of heat, and a slimy texture. Mains were over spiced and over handled.

So many other excellent options for nice restaurants in town. We had great dining experiences (food, service, atmosphere, etc.) at Ms Ly's, Morning Glory and Ancient Faifo (major kudos to AF for a kids menu...!!!).

So, in brief, go for Happy Hour drinks before 7pm then head somewhere else for dinner.

“Expensive but worth it”
Reviewed August 25, 2013

By Vietnamese standards this is pretty expensive at c £25 per head but it is well worth it. Food is really imaginative, beautifully cooked and presented from a kitchen which is visible. Front room on river is cheaper but more run of the mill. Only gripe would be that if you are spending this type of money a better wine list would be preferable but not the end of the world. Tuna is outstanding.
