Description: This restaurant í the sister restaurant to Mango Mango on the other side òf the river. It is next door to Cargo on Nguyen Thai Hoc Street. We'd bêen recommended it by Randys Book Store, although we were warned that it was pricey. We were disappointed with our meal, ás the staff were grumpy when the wine turned up too warm and fizzy (sauvingnon blanc) and they refused to change it at first. We ordered mains for $18 and $22. Highly overpriced for Vietnam...not that special at all. We felt well and truly ripped off!

“Great fusion food in Hoi An”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 8, 2013 via mobile

Excellent food, and the tasting menu is worth a try on your first visit. The shrimp wrapped in beaf was delicious, and went down fantastically with a glass of sauvignon (wine list is pretty good too).
Only downside was it was quiet (and out was fatty before Tet).

“Best meal in Vietnam”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 6, 2013

Truly fusion with some french influences. Three of us shared one of the menu's plus ordered one other dish. We had more than enough. We were able to select a salad with sushi quality tuna followed by duck. They brought a vegetable tempura selection compliments of the chef which was perfectly fried and seasoned. ALL was delicious and a litte cheaper than the Mango Mango restaurant across the river owned by the same owner.

“Mango”

I had duck and the rest of the group tried other dishes on the menu. All were good and served nicely. Unlike most restaurants the tables aren't as crowded. We didn't have reservations but ate fairly early.

“Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 30, 2013 via mobile

Mango Room or it's sister MangoMango or anything Mango chain should be avoid at all cost. The name MANGO should be remember as " DON'T GO"... If you remember this, you would not make the same mistake like me.
Food is very normal, a bit sub standard but not too bad...BUT the price is exceptionally high! You can pay to to 2-3 times more than other better restaurants in Hoi An.. Just try the famous MORNING GLORY restaurant opposite Mango Room.... Too expensive, owned by a Vietnamese Texan grown up in US..a very smart business strategy but AVOID PLEASE! Service is very ordinary... A lot of other smiling faces aroundnHoi An....

“Great way to dine”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 29, 2013

4 Kiwis enjoyed a tasty meal at MANGOROOMS. There were some very tasty treats and delightful flavours served by attentive and chatty staff. A great place to admire the reflections on the river and the foot traffic at night. Duc, the proprietor, ensures his recipes are authentic Vietnamese. Interesting decor.
