“Lovely room”
Reviewed August 20, 2013

We had a really nice room here for one night. We used the pool, which was small but lovely. The room was nicely decorated and the bed very comfortable. The breakfast was good on the little balcony overlooking the river. We spent one night here, but I wish we'd been here at least one or two more. It was also in a nice location, right by the river.

The only downside was that the woman on reception was very pushy when it came to trips and buses.

We had a few nights here whilst travelling through Vietnam. Room was spacious and clean, we even had a bathtub. Wifi was free and good qualit for this area of the world. We didn't use the pool but it looked nice, if a little small. Free breakfast was brilliant, really good food and a complimentary drink. Only downside was the staff who were a little aloof and didn't seem to be too concerned about guests well being, especially as we were thrown onto the back of a motorbike to catch a bus to Nha Trang we had organised with them. Overall though, a pleasant stay in a very pleasant town. Good eateries nearby, particularly Miss Sau a few doors down

The hotel looks great inside and out. . Wi-Fi is free, which sucks, but I guess that makes sense when the hotel was great. The fee for parking is ridiculous, but I'm sure that is common with other types of property. Despite how many people were milling about and how it looks busy, the staff were really really nice. The room was clean and it was cleaned daily. The only problem I ran into was the second day I noticed a baseball sized hole in the wall behind the door, and inside the hole is a big black spider. When I slide my flashlight on it, it scurried further into the wall. It made me go out and since I do not have anything to cover the hole, I went to the front desk and ask them to cover the loss because I do not want spiders in our room away. None of the employees ever to do anything about the hole, so we put a handful of paper towels into the hole.

An Hoi was nice and clean, excellent location. It has a small swimming pool which was open for long hours which was excellent after a long day of sight seeing, and it is about 6km to the nice beaches which were easy to get to. Excellent breakfast! However, there is building work going on at the moment which was an unpleasant awakening, and I found the staff a little odd, and pushy to get tailored clothes. Dont book the bus from Hoi An to Hue through the hotel as the bus is utterly rank, shop around for a better bus!
Overall I would stay here again.

Room Tip: rooms overlooking the pool can be noisy

What started as a 3 day stay extended to 8! The location was fantastic for the Old Town, we caught inexpensive taxi's to the beach and the pool was an oasis after each day out. There is currently construction work taking place next door but we were out most of each day so it didn't affect us. My youngest son (9) said that 'the lady on reception makes me feel special' and she did. I would definitely recommend it as a family friendly, backpacking hotel!

Our stay at An Hoi Hotel was unpleasant. Our room was right next to a construction site that made noise from 07:00 to 17:00 and caused power failures in the hotel. This ment no hot water, no aircon or no TV from 07:00 to 17:00. The staff were rude and unwilling to listen to our concerns and lost the ability to speak English when we complained. The room had no duvet on arrival and clean towels are not provided. We also had to share our bed with Cockroaches! The hotel is overrated and for the same amount of money you can stay better somewhere else.

I stayed in this guesthouse which is very near the old city. A two minute walk across the bridge and you are in the old city. It also has a small swimming pool which I did not use and a good breakfast. I recommend this hotel and if I return to Hoi An would more than likely stay here again. There are some very good food stalls about 300m on this side of the bridge that are inexpensive.
