The observatory was surely interesting. The museum offers information about much of Ulugh Beg's works. But, the museum was very hot. You would sweat in it.Still overall, it was good.

“Interesting if your already there”
Reviewed January 3, 2013

Ulugh Beg is a fascinating person and is somehow unknown in the western world. The Observatory is very interesting but given the abundance of amazing things to see in the area, it is not somewhere you would make special trip for.

“Partly retored 15th century observatory”
Reviewed November 14, 2012

Destroyed in 1449, there is still much of interest for the visitor. Visit the museum and learn about medieval astronomical instruments. Be sure to see the 11 metre long meridian arc.

“Science”
Reviewed October 27, 2012

This site reminds of the debt the West owes the Islamic world. The advancement of the sciences under taken by Muslim scholars has been largely ignored. The small museum is worth a visit.
