“Good location”
Reviewed July 3, 2013

We decided to stay here mainly based on previous reviewers and I'm glad we did.
The accommodation although basic is comfortable, clean and very good value for money.
It has been a pleasant stay. Will return if we visit Samarkand again..

Nice and very well located hotel (walking distance to all major sights), friendly staff spoke very good English and was very helpful, nice roof top terrace, would be even greater if some light at night, good breakfadt, rooms are clean but on the smaller side and quite dark, all in all a pleasant experience

This small hotel is located on a quiet, leafy street, with one of Samarkand's most important sights after the Registon almost in front of its door. The Registon itself is only a ten-minute walk away. The term "boutique" may be a bit exaggerated by western European standards, since the entrance area and corridors are kind of dark and there is no sitting area, but the location and wood-panelled front do hint at a relative exclusivity. Rooms are narrow but clean and perfectly functional, as is the bathroom. The breakfast room was bright and the selection, although not very wide, was tasty and traditional. Overall probably the best place to stay in Samarkand.

Room Tip: Worth having a view from your room!

Very cosy and small hotel located in the heart of Samarqand. The staff was very friendly and suggested a lot of places outside tourist guides as well as showed us all the major sightseeings of Samarqand.
The breakfast had a delicious selection of traditional food. Also there is an amazing terrace which overlooks one of the most famous monuments of Samarqand
Special thanks to Faruk who made our trip very convenient and informative.

Room Tip: Choose the room which overlooks Amir Timur monument. Fantastic view and very quiet.

A 10 minute walk into town (Registon) but in a quiet street overlooking a park with the Registon in the distance. Ask for a room that looks out the front to get the view and a small balcony. Reception were very helpful and spoke good English. The room was good although bed access was only on one side. I also recommend keeping the bathroom door shut as there was a "plumbing smell" but not to the extent you notice it when in the bathroom.
The main disappointment was breakfast. All the hot dishes were cold. I think a tour group had eaten breakfast early and no fresh hot food had been put out since. The waitresses were charming though!

Conveniently located, but in need of an upgrade. The bath drain leaked onto the bathroom floor, no anti-slip bathroom mat provided, loose toliet lid and spongy mattresses meant a disappointing end (accommodation-wise) to our break.
