“Great coffee and cake!”
Reviewed March 19, 2014 via mobile

We found this coffee shop just off the main Street on our last day in Colonia. The owner, Dahianna and staff are lovely and we had fantastic coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice and a delicious slice of homemade orange cake. They don't do hot meals just cakes and sandwiches but if that's what you are looking for with great drinks you should come here. The owner is well travelled and speaks great English too.

“Great sandwiches and great staff”
Reviewed February 19, 2014

We stumbled across this Café in our wonderings around Colonia and decided to try it out for lunch. The owner, a young lady with a 4 month old child was full of life and very helpful. We all ordered different sandwiches which were excellent. We recommend the Café, the food and staff to look after you.

“Best cheesecake and coffee ”
Reviewed February 17, 2014 via mobile

Really nice place to have a lovely afternoon. Great Barista advises for coffee. A must in Colonia. We were walking with my boyfriend and came across with it. We previously had a bad food experience in downtown, but This place save the day

“The best sandwich in town”
Reviewed January 1, 2014

We stopped for a light lunch. We sat outside under lovely umbrellas and we ordered sandwiches, iced tea and some refreshments. It is, definitely, the best sandwich I had in Uruguay! What a delicious homemade whole bread. It was crispy and tasty, absolutely superb. We also had a submarino and a dulce de leche pie. I could rate it as a 4-star restaurant, because the staff was a bit confused that day (it was Dec 31st), but I will forget everything on behalf of the great flavorful sandwich we had! Memorable!

“At last, somewhere that knows how to make espresso coffees”
Reviewed December 25, 2013 via mobile

Not easy to find a quality or properly made espresso in South America so far, especially if you love great coffee like we do.
We sought out this place, which is down one of the little side streets, because it was well rated on tripadvisor, and so glad we did.
The coffee was well made - I had a ristretto and my wife a cappuccino - and we treated ourselves to a slice of homemade orange cake. Delicious. All the cakes looked delicious to be honest. So we then tried a cupcake with a melted chocolate middle -which was to die for.

We had a lovely chat with the owners, a husband and wife team with a young babe in arms, and found them great company.

Looking for a good coffee and cake in Colonia, look no further than Ganache.
