The hotel is quite well maintained. This is not a beach hotel. This hotel is located in the heart of Sharjah with good shops around. For beach vacation consider another location. The closest beach is Al Mamsar which is about 6 km away however shuttle bus goes there two times per day at 10 & 11 am - free of charge and goes back from beach at 2 & 3 pm. Al Mamsar is public beach with entrance fee 5 dirhams. You may save this money by walking 400 m back on road to the free open public beach. 80% of all guests in hotel are russian ( mostly women ). I rented a car (130$ per week) from Dubai airport. You can go there by 11 o`clock free bus which goes to the shopping center from the hotel lobby each day ( you will save on taxi ). I recommend you to rent cars in the airport as nearby rental offices offer cars for a double price. All signs on the road are both in Arabic & English. It seems everybody speaks English in UAE and this is very helpful for going around. Driving in UAE is easy as in US or Canada as drivers are courteous. Orientation in cities is not difficult as all populated areas are between main highway and seashore so you will not get lost in towns. Breakfast in the hotel is nice however food with dishes are emptied quite fast. If you rent a car ( which I recommend you a lot ) go to Ajman emirate to swim as this emirate has very nice free public beaches just 12 km away from the hotel. Jumeira beach in Dubai is nice but too many people are there & it is difficult to find free parking there.

Room Tip: Rooms on the west side are quieter. Do not take room next to elevator and with adjacent door to the...

I rather like the suite I was given but as the hotel starts from the third flour, I find it quite a bother if you need to go to reception before getting in to your room. With 11 floors and only two elevators, this means waiting is a hassle. The ground floor where the concierge is stationed is rather uninspiring.

When I was there the hotel was filled with Russian tourists so i think the food was cooked to their liking - rather bland and creamy. The restaurant service is slow, takes a while to get your coffee served in the morning and the guy who does the eggs must have other kitchen duties because he does not come on until nearly 8am. Strange when breakfast starts half an hour earlier. When one is on full board, these small things are negative points. My hosts in Sharjah booked me into this hotel and paid for my room and board. I am sure I could have found a better bargain on
Tripadvisor if I was given the choice of making my own reservations.

One of the keys items needed for business travel, and in this regard fail. The servicw wasnt cheap either which is doubly frustrating. Overall decent hotel, in a good location near many business and tourist areas in Sharjah. A short drive to Dubai if needed.

It is totally average hotel. The lobby at the 3rd floor. So, first you need to enter from ground floor, then you need to get the elevator to go to lobby, tehn after again you have to get the elevator to go to your room. Definetely inconvenience.

The breakfast is not perfect...

Price is reasonable.

Will I stay again? Definetely... But I accept this hotel as a 3 star hotel... So, no problem...

We, my wife and I checked this hotel last month and we entered the lobby with no reception. The reception is located on the first floor with two lifts. Anyway after waiting for 5 minutes we got into the lift and went to the reception. The staff showed us the rooms, we were put off by some huge stains on the corridor carpet and the rooms smelt bad. The tariff was 600 dhs which was high for such a badly maintained place.
The restaurant in the lobby looks very cheesy too. Better to stay in a furnished apartment which is better maintained and better value for money too.

Chose the Holiday Inn because my sisterinlaw lives down the road. Some call this a 5 star, but I dont think its more than a 3 star Plus. The rooms though big is stuffed with furniture giving us no room to walk about comfortably. We did not have breakfast here, but the staff were business like, to the point and unfriendly. Given a choice, I would have preferred the Tuilip Inn which is connected to a big mall, here there is nothing except the small shops and eateries around and the neariest mall/shopping is a 10 Dhm drive away to City Centre Mall. Overall a Bland Hotel, good just for dumping your baggage, sleeping and using the toilet, nothing much worth writing about.

i was pleasantly surprised when i booked here. i didn't expect it to be so nice with such a great price. we have a priority card so we got the two bedroom suite for 523 a night with a connecting room which was 325 a night. overall it was a great stay. nice layout of a kitchen open onto a sitting room. the two bedrooms are nicely decorated with wooden floors and relaxing colors. there is only one bathroom between the two rooms so it would be nicer if the master bedroom was ensuite. the bathroom was fit with many towels that were good quality towels. off the sitting room there is a kitchen which was nice and a half bath. i like the furnushings throughout the apartment. very nicely done.
the connecting room was also very nice it was more like a suite with a couch and chairs and a partition between that and the twin beds. there is also a kitchenette there although smaller than the two bedroom suite but still very nice.
the buffet breakfast was very nice although when i went down and saw the place very small and simple i didn't expect it to be.
i think it would be great if in the the suites they could add small microwaves as they are so handy and usefull.
i forgot to mention the location is a bit crowded but no problem for parking. it is surrounded by so many things restaurants, shops and pharmacies which is very handy.
overall, avery pleasant unexpected stay!
