Al Marasim Al Afghani is a relatively simple restaurant on King Abdulaziz Road, close to it's junction with Estiqlal Road.
The menu has many different types of kebabs served with Afghani Polaw, and other meat, vegetable and lentil dishes. I tried Dal Palak (spiced lentils cooked with spinach) and a plate of Chupap Kebab (pieces of lamb with bone, usually rib/vertebrae joint) grilled over hot coal). The kebabs had a very nice charcoal grill flavour. The food was very reasonably priced. The meal I had, Dal Palak, a large Roti, the Chupan Kebab (8 pieces), and a little simple salad, small complimentary soup and tomato chutney and bottled drinking water, all put together was the equivalent of 8 US Dollars.
