This hotel totally lacks the opulence expected in Dubai.
However, the Staff are amazing - I guess this is the hit at the resort.
There was always a really good variety of food for all tastes at the restaurant.
One of the biggest issues for me was that the waitresses at the lobby bar would not throw the complimentary nuts left in the bowl when customers left but, top the bowl up with nuts again !!!! I was mortified !!! No clean bowl nor fresh nuts. This left my mind reeling with regards to other areas.
The Virgin Rep was self indulgent. Thankfully post the initial meeting, we didn't require his services.
Lots of damage to furniture/umbrellas/sunbeds.
Beach toilet area disgusting.
We won't be returning.

I am of course delighted to learn that you are satisfied with service from our staffs and variety of food that you mentioned. However, I am sorry to read your comment about what happened at the lobby bar, as this is an area where the team here traditionally stands out. Rest assured that additional training will be done in order to address this issue and to avoid any re-occurrence. As well we shall convey your concern about Virgin holiday service.

Just back from our 4th stay at this hotel on the premium all inclusive option. The hotel gives you a list of what this entitles you to receive but what they do not tell you is the absolutely fantastic service you get. The staff are this hotel's greatest asset and having stayed before we were surprised how many of the staff remembered us and it felt like they were welcoming old friends back when they saw us.
Our favourite restaurant is Al Bahar where Mr Hassan and his team give such great service. Special mention must be made to Mamun and to Dhiraj who laid on a wonderful surprise dinner with a table set out on what was the football pitch during the day with our wine ready and chilling, a heater if we were cold and beautiful petals on the table. Similarly on our last lunch there Abu set up and reserved a table with flowers. These special touches were really appreciated.
Thank you also to Yonas who during the week looked after us so well at the beach bar, sunset bar and at the pool bar. He seemed to be everywhere. We were sorry not to have been able to say thank you to Rafiquil, also at the sunset bar who's day off turned out to be our last day. He remembered our order from a previous stay a year before! Also a big thank you to Sayful at the buffet who looked after us so well as he did on our previous visit.
We would definitely recommend premium all inclusive as you can dine out at each of the 4 al a carte restaurants and order whatever you want from the menu and pretty much all of the drinks and cocktails are on the list too.
Before we arrived I emailed the hotel to ask for a room on a high floor with a good view as our view last time was partly obscured by some trees. They accommodated us and this time we were on the 5th floor with a great view.
We hope to return soon and catch up with many of our friends there.

It was a few years since our last time (and we used to love the place and recommend it) and we are not returning again.. We did not get the room that was promised, the bathroom was dirty and mouldy, housekeeping never left enough towels but the biggest dissapointment was the all inclusive lunch and dinner. None of the variety there used to be, mostly the same stuff every time..and also served at the same restaurant.

We stayed at this hotel for the third time, arriving back yesterday and it was still wonderful, mainly down to the excellent staff. We stayed in a deluxe sea view room which was more than adequate and the Virgin Holidays all-inclusive worked well for us. The room was kept exceptionally clean and well equipped, and we felt that all restaurants were excellent in their own way, the Maarid being unusual for a buffet restaurant with its extensive range of food. We have to commend members of staff who went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable, in no particular order: Keith, Oliver, Saiful, Islam, Laani, Vanessa, all working in the Maarid restaurant and they all definitely work so hard and are always so helpful and cheerful. In the Al Bahar, Abu, Dhiraj and Hassan, so friendly and offering excellent service at all times. Allan and Michele always seen working so hard. George tirelessly cooking in the bar-b-que area. Brahim keeping the Al Bahar swept and clean and always with a smile. Mark and Charlotte in Piacerida Gustare, along with Anggara on work experience and doing a great job. Passage to Asia with their fantastic waitress Jelli Ann. And our favourite, Kirubel in The Dhow Beach Bar, always helpful and willing to spend time with us, and at a beautiful location to see the sunsets. Always nice to stop at the Sunset Bar, with their friendly staff, especially Daryll.
Only one negative during our stay, was that we reported that our safe was not working properly at the beginning of the holiday and it wasn't actually resolved until our last day, which unfortunately took some of our precious time, when we would have rather been by the pool. Talking of pools, there is such a good choice of pool areas, our favourite being the quiet pool at the Albahar. All pool areas and gardens are immaculately kept.

Very good food, excellent service, quiet place to relax. We enjoyed our time in this Hilton Hotel, which has a number of restaurants and pools. We took a club room, which was the right thing to do, in order to benefit from a number of advantages.
