La Luna is a little cracker and have been many times sit in ( lovely location) and home delivery, great, friendly staff who will tailor your meal to your own requirements and tastes, highly recommend the thin based pizzas , I have the calzone but ask for it "open" and the pasta with salmon... They have also recently started doing thai food but ask for it spicy if you want that Thai kick as the local palette favours milder spices ..

Location is good for RAK. Food is OK and inexpensive. Nice views of the small marina and terrace.
No alcolhol served.

Very bland food. Ordered the risotto which was awful. The tomato aubergine pasta was as if it came out of a tin and the seafood risotto is made with frozen fish. Never again.

Dear Reviewer, Thank you for your valuable comments. As we take every comment seriously, please do accept our response in good spirit. In your title you mention that the food is cooked by Philippinos. First of all we are proud of our staff regardless of their nationality. The restaurant itself has a staff of 10, 4 chefs and a executive chef who is an accrediited chef in various 5 srtar properties. Our staff undergoes training on a regular basis on the food we are offering by Europeans and Asian Chef's alike. Philippino people are extremely talented in the service industry and many other industries the same as Italians, Europeans and Asians. I really feel that identifying the Nationality of the staff in relation to the food is unjustified especially as realistically, without Philippinos the great majority of 5 star hotels and restaurants would simply have no service at all. Coming to your comments about the food, you mention that the "Fish" was frozen in your seafood risoto. There is no Fish in the Seafood Risoto. We use only Seafood. The seafood served as cooked food in all restaurants is indeed defrosted from frozen status. In the UAE, most of the seafood is imported frozen, especially as the UAE does not have the quantity or variety used in the Seafood Risoto. Maybe there is a misunderstanding in your comments.
In your comments you state that you ordered Risotto, but the you pass a comment about tomato eggplant pasta. I am not actually sure what you have ordered, but I do assure you that the eggplant used in the restaurant is always fresh as venegtables are delivered daily. I am actually not sure if Tomato Eggplant Pasta is produced in tin's but I assure you that I will check.
Yopur comments are obviously very emphatic and I can both feel your frustration and dissapoitntment. La Luna has a policy that any meal that does not meet the clients standard is not charged, so I do hope and assume that you your complaint resulted into a full discount on the items ordered. If not please do write to me on np@laluna.ae to ensure your compensation. Finally, I am happy to extend an invitation to you and we can discuss your comments and maybe learn from your experience. Our objective is always to listen and improve and every customer has something to offer. Once more, I apologise if the expereinec at La Luna was not a pleasant one. Kind Regards - Nikolas Petrakos Owner 050 6210604

We had a Bresaola carpaccio for the appetizer, frutti de mare pizza and risotto with shrimp for the main dishes, followed by a scoop of pistacho and mango ice gelati. The food is very good, did not expect this from this small, kind of hidden restaurant in Ras Al Khaimah. We would have gone there for dinner daily if we had discovered it earlier.
