I booked the standard room with balcony overlooking the pool for a two night stay on business trip. Room was very spacious with a mini kitchen area, lcd screen, and a spacious bathroom with a bidet and bath tub. Breakfast was tasty with a wide variety to choose from (healthy, intercontinental, Arabic, and the high protein corner with your choice of eggs, turkey bacon, and sausages. several choices of fresh juices were available including pomegranate, orange, melon and others. Staff is very helpful, courteous and friendly. The only catch is that they will block 500 AED from your credit card upon arrival for deductions from services and f&b during your stay (if you so choose to), but upon departure, if no amount is used, bank will unblock this amount 10 days following checkout (which is a bank procedure according to the check-out staff). I've also tried rotana - centro earlier and a similar scenario related to check in payments was in place which lead me to lose a large amount of money in exchange rates. I think rotana hotels are a great chain, but their payment and deposit policies are sometimes too much.

Room Tip: Ask for the rooms with a balcony overlooking the pool, and if you're a large group you can choos...

Dear tripadvisor user “mirrorcrax”,

Thank you for your nice feedback about our hotel and your stay, I am pleased to learn that you enjoyed your stay and I just would like to note that the amount of AED 500 blocked from your credit card was to cover the extras and the I am sorry for the inconvenience for the delay in releasing that amount, although it is a delayed procedure from the credit institute. I hope to welcome you once again soon at our property.

I went with my wife and new born kid for 3 days in hotel.I was offered Al Falaj wing 1 bedroom apartment and it was nice for my size of family. Specially the bathroom were big and gave cozy feel. However Wi Fi was also very slow and needs update.

However the Swimming pool , Option for morning Breakfast, in room kitchen were very good.As well as proximity to city shopping malls and park gave it a ideal location for stay.

Food options for western and arabic population were great but not asian.

In all it was decent stay and we enjoyed ambience and family time.

Room Tip: Ask for room in main wing. Falaj Wing is not good for Wi Fi connectivity and all restaurants are in...

We have several memberships with several 4 - 5 star hotel chains, as we travel a lot and also reside in hotels for longer period of times, and are permanent residents in one of the Shangri La Resorts at this time. Rotana Al Ain was one of temporary homes. It is your best option in Al Ain. Level of service, pool area, rooms, food (we usually ate at Zest, the staff is fantastic, special thanks to the Manager from Syria, stellar job performance, very hard worker !!!) is the best of what you can find in Al Ain. Staff is very forthcoming. Special thanks to Anna from Moldavia, who always stood out when it came to customer service. - year round - as I used the Rotana gym daily whenever I stayed in town and she is one of the shining stars of the recreation employees at Rotana Al Ain. The gym is small but good equipment. They have Raquet ball courts and offer different fitness classes, massage rooms, steam room ( I must have complained at least a dozen times, it barely worked, I think they finally fixed it), sauna etc. There are two more restaurants, a Trader Vics (live music, relaxed atmosphere, nice outside seating and sheesha smoking) and a Lebanese restaurant. All very good. Things happen at Moodz downstairs in the hotel (too much security staff around the dance floor, made me very uncomfortable....), until 3am as far as I recall, so make sure your room is not anywhere near that area. Same goes for the rooms above the Lebanese restaurant (Party's on til 230am) and anywhere near the wedding halls, unless you are part of the wedding. And they have a lot of weddings in Al Ain Rotana. The sight of a huge congregation of 100s of men in traditional dish dash outside near the pool area as part of the wedding ceremony is a regular one. Due to noise and smoke issues we had to be moved 2 times, until we finally ended up in the room where we originally stayed when we first arrived in the UAE 2 years ago. We opted for 'smoking' room on first floor (desparate measures to get away from the noise and better view) and it turned out to be less smelly than the other 'non-smoking' room. Room 120 has an oversized terrace overlooking the pool and bar. Very nice. Downside: no more thumping sounds from the Lebanese restaurant, but there was one night when at 2 am you could hear loud groups of people yelling and speaking in elevated levels, a child climbed onto the piano... you get the picture... and ... the sounds carry all around the atrium lobby as it echoes and only amplifies the noise. Not pleasant. Poor front desk staff tried to sort this out, to no avail , the noise continued for at least one hour. They also allow smoking in the atrium... the smell sneaks pretty much into most rooms facing the atrium. Management was very forthcoming, the Assistant GM went out of his way and made up for lots of these inconveniences. Front Desk staff was also supportive and always tried their best to solve issues, be it air purifiers or such. Other than the smoke and noise issue, we do not have complaints. It is still our first choice in Al Ain. They are opening up a new Rotana in Hili area, but I ve not seen it yet. It would probably worth checking out once completed, maybe it is a bit more quiet. There is an entire new area with chalets being built behind the hotel. They were not open when we stayed there. It seems they will be a lot more quiet... All in all, be careful with your room selection, if you really need a good night sleep. One more thing, on weekends, when the weddings go down... good luck finding a parking space... valet will be your only choice.

Room Tip: first floor are smoking rooms but ... because they have large terraces the smokers seem to step out...

with the few options in Al Ain - Abudhabi, Rotana is the hotel you should be looking for. Rotana's rooms are great and big, pool is amazing, Trader resturant is great, and moods is a good place for weekends....
highly recommended.

Very attractive building in a niceresidential type area. Lots of palm trees and very green. The hotel has a sort of Moorish/Asian fusion architecture and the service is impeccable. Greeted by a happy young woman who insisted on getting my name, escorting me to the front desk, and introducing me to their eager staff. Very positive first impression. Rooms overall are nice, carpet is looking kind of worn and the mini-bar was missing some items. Very minor item-oddly, the power outlet near the desk was hidden behind a chest that I had to move to plug in my PC. Ordered room service-arrived within 15 mins. Good, if small burger, and they had a special going on their Corona beer. The Room Service guy was a born salesman-I somehow ended up with 4 beers! Would definitely highly recommend this property.

Stayed for one night in September 2013. Been here before. Rooms in the old wing were a bit shabby and service slow. Pool is excellent though, and the Lebanese food was great too. Location ok if you are in Al Ain for a reason.

Spent a week here and would have been happy for it to be longer. Very efficient and attentive staff, fantastic food and comfortable rooms in a well-appointed hotel in the historic city of Al Ain.
Would return anytime....highly recommended.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the higher floors....they are quieter.
