Very atmospheric. Well preserved but see the whole of the oasis, not just the fort. Never crowded. Used to have concerts but these have stopped, alas.

It mainly can be devided into 3 parts. The first part is a brief introduction of history of UAE and the ruler's family, containing some paintings and historical photos. The second part is the old Jahili Fort and the watch tower. You can sense it by walking in&out, up&down. It was the landmark of Al ain in last centry 40's or 50's. The third part is Mubarak Bin London Museum, the meaning -- a blessed person from London. It's a museum about Wilfred Thesisger--a great british explorer, displays lots of pictures captured by Thesisger, reveals the foot print of him and the history of UAE in the last centry. Besides there're many booklets introducing the customs of Bedu and attractions of Al ain. It's a good place worthy to be visited.

The Al Jahili fort is a must see in Al Ain. There is no entrance fee and local staff is very helpfull. Well preserved and gives a nice idea of old times.
