When in the UAE or just in Dubai, pay a visit to Al Ain and definetly drive up to Jabel Hafeet. On a clear day you have great views over the city and the whole region. Lots of parking stops on the ride with great view. Dirty though. Everyone seems just to leave their garbage everywhere...

Jabal Hafeet is the only mountain in Al Ain area. The road up is very good so to reduce the fun and challenges in driving up a mountain. Seldom you can see people jogging up! yes, it is not that difficult. There are too less to do on the top.
Time your trip closer to sunset. You will have a good view of Al Ain city in day light and can enjoy the stunning beauty of sunset.
During December to February, expect cold weather and be prepared with some thick cloths- Not so thick!
Please don't expect to have some food on the top. There is no option except a very low standard restaurant. No restroom facilities. There is a limited option play area for kids.
Even if you bring food, you don't have a good place to sit and enjoy it. Majority of area is taken for parking and road.
Plan your dining at Green Mubazzara or in the city.

When visiting Al Ain, you have to drive up Jebal Hafeet. However when you get to the top, the views are special but that is all there really is. The shop / cafeteria isn't anything special and the play ground is hazardous.
