This hotel is considered to be very posh by the locals, and it seems so as as well, as the entrance hall and restaurant are dressed in gold and draped with velvet. However, the rooms are very sad, with small uncomfortable beds and cheep linen, lumpy pillows and distasteful functional furniture. Everything in this hotel is in urgent need of a revamp, from prehistorical TV sets to carpets and furniture. The food was really bad, and as we stayed for few days, and the 2-days old, recycled salads and ice cold blue boiled eggs for breakfast, really stood out for us. Simferopol is a small provincial town, and there is not much other choice in terms of accommodation; but this place is seriously overpriced and looks much better on the pictures than in reality. Location is good, as it is in the hart of the city centre.

Room Tip: rooms are not soundproof, choose rooms facing the park, as street facing rooms are very noisy.

Lovely hotel in Simferopol. Good location, spacious and clean rooms (with airconditioning), as well as a very welcoming restaurant. Simferopol is a great start for exploring the Crimea. Being a non-russian speaker finding your way around is nevertheless quite challenging. The lovely staff at the Ukraina hotel reception however were very helpfull and made our stay unforgettable. Exceptional hospitality.

Convenient for the City Centre and about a mile I would say from the Railway Station. The hotel is of good quality and the room was clean. Excellent Air Conditioning..and it was really needed! Let us book in three hours early. Good breakfast, although I suspect like most West Europeans, we find it strange to have Chicken Broth on the menu at that time. The only downside is that there is no lift.

The staff was helpful and friendly, the room was clean and spacious. Breakfast includes wonderful, fresh cucumber and tomato and a nice variety of different foods. It seems like a well run, full service establishment.

Be careful when you book your room. Bait and switch! I paid a premium to book a "Business Double", and got a room (212) with 2 single beds pushed together.....You can't sleep in the middle because you'll fall between the 2 single mattresses....so, in my "Business Double" room, after paying a premium, I ended up sleeping on one small single bed.....and this is a premium hotel? Solution? Simply don't pay until you see the room. Bait and switch. I am a travel writer. I stay 200+ nights a year in hotels all over Europe and Asia...this is not a premium hotel.....a strip bar in the basement...classy!

Room Tip: Ask to see the room in advance. Don't pay for a premium room. I did, and ended up with something...

I stayed in this hotel during my recent business trip. Its a very neat and clean hotel with English speaking staff. The Hotel overall is very classy. Nearby shopping places, restaurants, clubs, are in nos. for you to make a choice.

The hotel has a small bar. Go VODKA for sure!!

Room Tip: Rooms are with street view. Not much choice in there!!
