I stayed 11 nights in this hotel for business. People of Dnipropetrovsk say that this is the best hotel in the city. Indeed it is very good! A little bit expensive, but the hotel offers very comfortable and clean bedrooms. The mattress and pillows are very soft. Bedroom and bathroom are extremely clean. The girls of the front desk are very kind and speak a very good english. The dishes of the restaurant are delicious. Wi-fi free and operational all the time. Also, the location could not be better. It is near shoppings, supermarkets and good restaurants. In front of the hotel there is a tram and a handcraft fair with local products. Highly recommended!

Make sure you request the free airport pickup, it will save you the hassle and the expense of an airport taxi. Ask the Reception staff for restaurant recommendations, they know all the best locations. There is a medium size market less than 3 minutes from the hotel, great for buying grocery items to reduce the cost of your stay.

Two days hotel had no internet access - totally unacceptable for 5 star hotel.
The bathroom was as big as my room, which I'm not sure if it's good or bad.
Breakfast was limited and service of staff quite poor.
Still, probably this is one of the best hotels in the city. Location is great, in the heart of Dnipropetrovsk.

Grand Hotel Ukraine is located right in the center of Dnepropetrovsk - on Karl Marx Ave. It is a 2 min walk to main downtown squares, and about 15 min walk to the Dnepr river enbankment. Shopping is also nearby, and the famous painting/souvenir shopping quarter is literary just outside the hotel
While the hotel is nice, I find it somewhat fancy and overpriced. There is a swimming pool at the hotel and hotel offers shuttle service to/from the airport.
There are plently of cafes to eat around the hotel as the restaurant is relatively expensive. The area is generally safe even when it gets dark outside.
