Lake Victoria View Guest House
Ranked #12 of 69 Entebbe B&B and Inns
Reviewed November 29, 2013

We stayed here for 3 nights. The room was lovely and colourful, full mosquito net, ensuite with a good shower. Home cooking with fresh ingredients. The atmosphere was relaxed and Florence was really helpful; she fixed us up with a place to stay in Jinja, and organised transport there with their driver.
As others have said, the garden is spacious and well kept, the birds extraordinary, the view glorious! What`s not to like? It was my first visit to Uganda, so thank you Lake Victoria View Guesthouse.

Room Tip: Room at the end and overlooking lake was a good choice for us

Arrival at Lake Victoria View Guest House was so smooth since they sent me a complimentary ride from the airport. The Guest House is simple and well maintained. all the basic amenities for a short stay is available. The meals are simple and are home made.

The guest house also has a lovely garden with exotic plants and many birds. You can hear the birds chirping most of the day. This gives a nice touch of nature.

There is Wifi, which works best in the lounge area.

I liked the simplicity and ease of communication with the staff.

I would recommend this place for any short stays or transit stays in Entebbe. It has a home feel since it is located a place that was initially a residential house.

Irene and all the staff have been good to me and I shall surely come back

Room Tip: Ask for master room in main bedroom. It is self contained and very spacious. It is also very quiet...

Very helpful staff who arranged airport pickup without extra cost. The hotel driver also helped us drive through town and find places to buy clothes, after our luggage getting stuck in Istanbul. Extremely helpful staff all around and a nice place with a beautiful garden and a view overlooking the Nile River. Rooms simple but good, with a spacious bathroom.

I mean typically african that the hot shower was not working and they didnt have banana's available for banana pancake with the breakfast and there were holes in the mosquito netting.
But apart from that (which doesnt really bother me anymore) it was a very fine place to stay.
Not too big, very nice view and garden, great bed (normal pillows!) and friendly service.
I will go back next time!

I and group of friends arrived in the middle of the night - we were met at Entebbe and warmly welcomed. Good clean rooms, nice food and ever friendly, helpful staff. What more could one want? Will be using this brilliant little gem again!

I stayed here for a night last week while waiting for a connecting flight to South Sudan the next morning and was very pleased with the level of service that was provided. The room tariff includes a single airport transfer (UGS20,000 for the return leg) and complimentary breakfast. I was a bit annoyed with myself as I had forgot to pack soap and shampoo/conditioner and did not realise that these were not included (towels and linen are). The room was meticulously clean (bed complete with mosquito netting that was, unfortunately, torn in some places) and there was hot water for showering. My designated driver was punctual and got me to the airport in ten minutes despite my having to check in before 7am!
