Uganda Reptile Village

This place is not "state of the art" or fancy, but I challenge you to find another place on earth, for $2, where you can see such a deadly collection of venemous snakes anywhere on earth.
"Snake", the founder, is a wonderful resource and his love of snakes and passion for educating local villagers about the ecology of snakes has led him to create Uganda Reptile Village. His hope is to educate villagers about the role that snakes play so they will stop automatically killing any snake they see.
Elementary schools take field trips to Uganda Reptile Village. Snake also offers to help with snake removal should local citizens find an unwanted reptile in their house or on their property.
All in all, a great place to support.

visited this place to see some reptiles like snakes, crocodiles and i was really impressed. The place is very clean and i find it more intresting than the old Entebbe zoo. I recommend it to people travelling through Entebbe

If you're normal you'll need a 4x4 to get there. If you're brave like us and don't own the car your driving go ahead. A very bumpy road, we had to bail to make the car lighter a few times.

A great place with lots of deadly snakes!! We had a great guide, who was a volunteer. Very informative. Highlight was seeing Chameleons upclose. Great gardens so would be nice to bring a picnic- though check if you are allowed to eat on the premises.

Lots of conservation and local awareness projects happening. A worthwhile venture to support

Visited this place while in Entebbe and love the way the reptiles are taken care of. The animals are treated and well fed. The place is a bit far from the main road though.

A little off the beaten track, but well worth the effort! Great guiding, very informative, no sensational rubbish, no hassle. Very well organised and well kept and nice to see that they have more plans for the place!
