The location overlooking the Black Sea is spectacular. The change from a museum to a mosque has had some negative impacts. The grounds are no longer well-maintained. Some of the best artwork is now covered. While it no longer has an entrance fee, it is now a location for people of bad intentions. The architecture is still impressive. And it is a truly historic site. But, it no longer has the same appeal. Financial investment and better management can still bring back the beauty.
