We arrived at the Hotel at 02:00 in the morning on a Sunday, which normally would be a royal pain in the rear but check in was simple and the night watchman kindly opened up the bar so we could wash away the travelling blues. Sat in the bar till about 5 AM then walked to the beach to see the morning rise.
The hotel is not 5 star, far from it but it was clean, the room we had was good, nothing to complain about, maid service was as you would expect with plenty of room.
The hotel amenities are good, there is an on site health centre should you require a spa or a Turkish bath and a really good hair/shave/tattoo office which we all used, do not go to Turkey without having a Turkish shave.
Aircon is extra in your bedrooms but not too expensive, works out to be about a fiver a night, we only used it on our second week when the temperatures got up to over 40 degrees in the shade.
The hotel bar is good, they do thier best to keep you entertained but top tip; keep an eye on what you are drinking, things that you may or may not have ordered appear on the bill, I am not saying they do it on purpose but be aware. We logged all our drink purchases to an iphone and made sure the staff knew this; this stopped any discrepancies.
The pool was clean and well looked after but if I had of taken the kids it would have been a bit of an issue as it is deep with no shallow end, it is 1.6 metres deep throughout so the ladies could not touch the bottom without taking in mouthfuls of water.
Food was ok if you ate there, we only did a few times, generally breakfast after working out that buying sausages/eggs / bacon etc then cooking it worked out more expensive than having someone else do it for you.
My only gripe would be that you are, under no circumstances allowed to bring any food or drink to the pool area that you have not bought from the bar. So no making a cup of tea and taking it to pool side from your room. No taking bottles of water from the market next door either. So self catering means do it in the room and leave it there.

All in all, a great hotel, great staff would go back again in a heartbeat.

We were there last year for 2 weeks and loved it - went over too quick. We like a shady balcony as after being in the red hot sun all day you just long for a bit of shade. We stayed in room 105 as we did last year. It is a cosy studio and the beds were lovely and comfortable and we had good sleeps. The only downside is if you are very tall as the beds are short. Would thoroughly recommend a Lazy Day boat trip. You get picked up from the apartments at 9 30 am and have a brilliant day out swimming in the sea twice, a drop off for 1 1/2hrs. shopping at Turunc and all inclusive for only 25 lira each. Also a Moonlight cruise for only 10 lira each. You will also get picked up from your apartment at 7 30 p.m and a small meal is included. Entertainment also included and brilliant staff - loved it.. Beautiful views too. Go to the harbour and see Kibap who owns the Dreamboat and he is very honest and he can arrange any trip you want. Be very wary of others. Would also recomment Green Beach Pub on beachfront for entertainment - brilliant friendly staff there too. Sunbeds are free on beach opposite Talk of the Town. A good night at the Talk of the Town - funny drag show and meal included and first drink free for £20 each. Marmaris is a beautiful place and the people are so friendly and do not hassle you. If you haven't been to Turkey give it a try as once you have been you will want to go back again and again. We went for the first time 3 years ago with some apprehension as a lot feel but Spain and other places haven't a look in compared to Turkey. Value for money is excellent. A very friendly family resort as they cannot do enough for anyone. Best time to go is the end of May/beginning of June or end of September/beginning of October as July onwards temperatures rise to nearly 50. It was 30-36 degs when we were there and was hot !!!! Enjoy yourselves.

Stayed at Maxwell Holiday Club the first week in May. Enjoyable relaxing week and extremely good value for the money. We had maid service everyday and the towel and bed linen were changed every couple of days. The complex was alway being cleaned and the staff in the bar, Ken, sarge and mirror man are funny, friendly and helpful.
A must while you are there is the turkish bath at Maxwell Club. Turco and his wife run this and I must say it was the best turkish bath we have had. We would recommend the Pre Sun and the Aftersun package as being very good value for money and it makes you feel like a superstar being pampered. for about 3 hours. I can`t wait to go back at the end of June tor another turkish bath package and to see the guys.

we have just returned from a weeks holiday at the maxwell holiday club and i can honestly say it is the best value for money hotel we have ever stayed in in the 20 years that we have been going to turkey. The rooms were spotless and cleaned daily, bar staff very friendly as were the reception staff, you couldn't ask for anything more with on site turkish bath, masseur and hairdressers,we are trying to re-book already for next year.BRILLIANT! Don't be put off by bad reviews believe us it is fantastic.
