Went with my daughter in september, half board, the room was very clean, a little small but adequate. Turkish breakfast the usual, olives tomatoes crusty bread etc, but the evening meals were just superb. Couldnt have eaten better, waiters and bar staff all very pleasant, no problems at all. A bit far out, but just jump on a dolmus, and you can go anywhere. Would definately go back there.

Hotel Hermes is a good little hotel . However the rooms are very basic..single beds with no chance of a double bed when we asked. The shower/bathroom was basic and needed upgrading but was clean. We also paid extra for air conditioning. The room was small. We stayed bed and breakfast and was very happy with the breakfast menu. All of the staff work very hard - behind the bar, entertaining, cleaning, cooking and reception. The receptionist was very helpful and made some calls for us when an excursion trip we had booked was late picking us up and also sorting out our transfer for our flight home. The BBQ night was fabulous with plenty of wonderful food and great entertainment! We went out most nights jumping on the local 'buses' which only cost a couple of lira and run late into the night.

Third stay at the Hermes- basic hotel accommodation with excellent staff, meals and a pool that is second to none
We arrived at 4am in the morning and James had stayed up to greet us, he carried all of our bags from the coach to the reception (x4), coming from a Customer Services background I found this was very impressive
Again the chef (Yousef) accommodated our every wish- we only out ate of the hotel on 3 occasions over the fortnight as the evening meals were fantastic
Bar staff were very attentive during the day and the lunch time menu was very good- free sun beds round the very clean pool along with the very friendly atmosphere created by the staff and the other guests (Liam, Dean and Maxi,Sylvia and Mark And the Higgin's family) to mention a few- pool olympics we're the afternoon highlight
Again a big shout out to the hotel staff for making yet another fantastic holiday- will hopefully see you all again in May

Room Tip: Try one of the large rooms on the 3rd floor-they have very large balconies, excellent for private sun...

As I am still at the hotel using their super slow wifi, I can tell you this that you are better off keeping away from this joke of a hotel, the staff are single minded, the female receptionist has an agressive face on her at all times, rude to us at all times and had the nerves of charging us towels for 10TL, the men are beyond jokes having English names that they don't even know how to a spell.

I don't know if they treating us differently because we are from a different country or race but I'll conclude by saying that they lack in 1 major thing which is hospitality.

Just got back today and have to say its not the worst hotel in the world.

When we arrived the bar staff would only acknowledge me and ignored my boyfriend. We found that a bit rude but we had a bit of a joke with the bar manager and the staff were ok after that. Despite the regular use of calling me 'darling' and 'gorgeous'. Most people say taht Turkish men are sleazy - this is true but as long as there are a bunch of girls around they guys tend to leave you alone.

The entertainment was pretty lousy with short half hour shows but you could always count on the nightly staff dance routines to bore you to tears. they didn't particularly like when you ventured out the hotel but to be honest best to pay the 2 lira to get to marmaris and pay the 15-20 lira back to the hotel. much better night out.

The food at the hotel is pretty average nothing special but edible. We tended to go down the street a bit to the New York bar. No sleazy staff and very friendly.

I would possibly go back to this hotel if i ever go back to Turkey. The pool was a good size but no doubt really busy in high summer season so probably hard to get a sun lounger.
