“Amazing Place, Amazing Staff, Amazing Holiday!”
Reviewed October 1, 2013

The hotel is fantastic, we went on our first family holiday, myself, partner, 5 year old Bailey and 1 yr old Leo. Where do i start! The food is beautiful and there is plenty of choice and the timing was great. The room was perfect and our cleaner Hattice went out her way every day to make the towels for the boys to look nice, she even brought us left over toys for the kiddies to play with! The reception staff were polite and helpful as were the bar staff. The entertainers, Olly, Owen, Ibo, Yasmin and Rose were fantastic, they were very good at their job, made us feel welcome, came and sat with us, included my boys in all activities. The entertainers were funny and i thought worked hard! Charlie the pool man is a god send and the poor bloke doesn't stop making sure you have everything!! I can't fault the staff, hotel anything, it was a truly amazing holiday and i shall be returning without a shadow of doubt! I miss all the staff already! Thank you guys! xxxx

Room Tip: Try and get a pool view room x

Returned to Grand Pasa Hotel 5* all inclusive. Have visited Marmaris twice a year for last 15 years as a couple (50-60) and also with various family (23-47) and Dad 82 in wheelchair he loves it. changing to a different hotel after about the 3rd visit. Grand Pasa Hotel is perfect for us.
Check out the pictures - you get what you see. On arrival very large reception area/air conditioned able to relax/cool off but not on top of reception desk all corridors/rooms are off this area (large Atrium) This leads out onto a lovely balcony area surrounding half of pool area lovely pure white wicker sofas/swings/tables chairs also ordinary tables and chairs to sit and have a drink has its own bar here but gets very hot nice to sit here with a drink before dinner you can also watch the entertainment from here. Inside from here is a lounge/bar with plenty of seating/plasma tv. All WC areas are spotless people make a mess from time to time they are checked regularly anything wrong tell them they deal with it. There are two lifts covering 5 floors. We have had various rooms all fine, They have 3 disabled rooms but the only difference is the doors are wider my Father is in wheelchair and is happy to stay here because he can get anywhere in the hotel in wheelchair without having to ask us but all rooms are very spacious have a double bed and a single, plenty of wardrobe/drawer space 3 comfy chairs/table in room as well as balcony set plus drying rails on balcony. flat screen tv/telephone. Hairdryer fixed in bathroom - I take my own. Bath with powerful shower. Towels changed every day bedding twice week changed immediately if needed. Housekeepers will fold towels on bed to make it nice for you/petals and all! Returning guests are welcomed with a big bowl of fresh fruit in room. Let them know if you have a celebration they can arrange fruit/wine for room. There is room service/charged. Rooms have key/card system. Safety deposit box, charged for in room/card code system. Collect cards (one p/p) from Reception to get fresh towels from Sauna rooms each day- take back at night and get cards back- no card no towel. Lose the cards and they will charge for replacement.
Reception Staff speak good English always willing to help. Guest Relations Person Filiz (Phylis) can sort practically anything for you from a trip to emergency try her first. Always pleasant and time for a chat. There is a Doctors Room, he is there at certain times but can be called for an emergency.
No fighting for sun beds plenty/space. Charlie pool man is great been there a long time. He finds sunbeds and umbrellas out of thin air. He is on the go all the time. He works so hard. There is a Pool Bar never a problem getting served. Snack Bar seating area lunch is served here if you only want poolside snack Chips/Burgers/hot dogs/Pizza/Chicken nuggets/Kebab meats/ Turkish breads and lots of salads to go with it. WC by Pool Area. Plenty of soft drinks/coffee/tea help yourself by pool. Ice Cream you have to buy from shop by pool.
Restaurant: Breakfast 7.30-9.30 everything you could need. Late breakfast up to 10.30 -continental. Lunch 12.30-2.30 No swimwear only- don't have to change but must cover up. choice so varied you can eat a main meal at lunch evening! You will not find bacon/pork/steaks in hotel menus in Turkey the food is not as hot as we would have it, suggest eating early. Try the Bars and Restaurants for Steaks etc.
Hotel Shops - Jewellers/Hairdressers-Beauty Salon/Nails/Tattoo/Good Quality Bag/ Shop/Supermarket. They are all very friendly people you can just sit and chat to them no obligation, they do not pester you to buy but it is a business. Hairdresser/Turkish Bath/Sauna will walk around the hotel and pool from time to time to get clients but just politely say no. We have all done Turkish Bath and Hairdressers and both are good. I have bought from Jeweller and been more than pleased on returning home with the value of the goods - but HAGGLE the price. Outside Haggle on everything its part of the fun. Watch your purses and wallets at all times outside especially Markets they are so crowded. If you buy something they value the £ sterling more and you can sometimes get more for your money.
Taxis - from the Harbour to Hotel at 3am should only cost approx. 16tl. ask how much before you get in. On our visit 6tl is about £2. Tipping your choice but minimum 5tl its nothing is it? Local Bus-Dolmus 2tl get on get off wherever you like they will even wait for you to get across the road if you wave to them.
Places to visit. Talk of the Town Show- about £20 each includes show/hot chicken meal/first drink free. Phoenix Bar on beachfront-all ages/fun dances/60-70-80 modern music. In Turkey Music has to either been turned off at 12clock or turned down otherwise they get closed down/fined. Police patrol beachfront but the Bars have lookouts and the music carries on up and down! Young people come out of the woodwork at about 10.30pm and there are plenty of places for them inside/clubs and of course Bar Street. Grand Pasa Hotel has bus to take anyone from hotel at 11pm to Bar Street and return home on bus at 3pm.

It is 5min walk from hotel to beach. Approx 3/4hr stroll to beautiful harbour, good restaurants/bars a little more expensive but some nice places to celebrate with a meal. - go and see the millionnaires yatchs/shops visit the castle here also. Take one of the big boats on a day trip always haggle your socks off if you are booking direct at the boat. If there is a large group try to hire the boat just for yourselves. Book your trips with the many booking stands along streets/beach they will pick you up from hotel. Reps and Hotel are dearer and on commission. When out walking check out all Money Exchange Rates it can vary, Hotel is not always best deal although Grand Pasa was best deal for us at the time. Don't change you money at the Airport! Do not buy anything from Dalaman Airport on way home it is so so ridiculously expensive they are having a laugh make up a sandwich/drink. Coach driver might ask you to change his £1 coins for £10note this is ok because people tip and they cant spend/change coins in Turkey.

Room Tip: Pool views will have some noise up to about 10.30. 4th/5th floors get quieter. Room 403/409 good poo...

Stayed here for a fortnight from the 11th Sept on a first trip to Turkey.
We booked through a travel agent and requested a sea view on a high floor and was pleased to get exactly that. The room was clean and comfortable and the maids came daily.
The hotel overall was very clean and tidy and the staff though overworked were pleasant enough.
This is a large and busy hotel so we were a little suprised that the two bars available were only staffed by one person., leading to some queuing for drinks.
The pool is huge, nice and cold and we were always able to find loungers.
As with most all inclusive hotels, the food was decidedly average and during the second week of our stay we ate out a few times. (A visit to Samdan restaurant for a steak is a must)
We chose this hotel from other reviews and were glad that we did, will definitely use again.
We got what we paid for, well worth the money ;-)

I visited the Grand Pasa hotel with my girlfriend for 1 week, beginning the 19th of September. We booked the holiday late (circa 5 weeks before) for a price of around £480 each, which turned out to be excellent value for money! The hotel has a wide range of guests, including families and couples of all ages. The majority of nationalities were English and Dutch.

Despite arriving in the early hours of the morning, we were giving a friendly greeting, and had our cases taken up to our room. The hotel entrance is magnificent, a great start to your holiday experience! We were given room 430, which was on the 4th floor and had a lovely view across the pool, and mountains in the background. The room itself was very tidy and spacious, and was cleaned every day.

Breakfast had enough good choice and variety to get you going through the week, although we didn't each much, and usually waited for the snack bar which was amazing! We didn't actually use the hotels restaurant at lunch time, as we were soaking up the sun round the pool it was more convenient to pop to the snack bar; which provides chicken kebab, burgers, pizza, chicken nuggets, chips, hot dogs and a variety of fresh salad and fruit. Again the food at dinner was amazing, and lots of choice, varying throughout the week; with different fish, meat, pasta, rice and other dishes. In addition there was a great choice of gorgeous deserts if you had any room left! We visited the a la carte restaurant on our last night, and weren't disappointed; you can chose from a oriental or seafood menu. The seafood menu included a calamari starter and sea-bass for the main.

As we went for a relaxing holiday, we spent the majority of the days chilling around the pool, but also good involved with the games that the entertainment team provided. There are enough loungers for everyone, and Charlie will work his socks off from dusk till dawn to ensure everybody has what they need (comments about only helping the people who give tips are nonsensical, we didn't tip him until the last day and he was fantastic for us throughout!). The floor around the pool wasn't too bad, noticed comments about it being a death trap, take care, like you would around any pool, and you'll be fine. The slides are good fun and bring out the inner child in you; Charlie is always on hand to make sure people don't get too carried away.

The entertainment team were fab, especially Olly, Jasmine and I-Bo. We didn't see much of Rose, but apparently she is great with the kids club activities. They were always high spirited and up for a laugh. At 10 am every day bar Sunday, they dance to a good morning song, and make their way around the pool introducing themselves and speaking to all of the guests. The day time entertainment involved activities such as gymnastics, yoga, belly dancing, darts, water polo and other pool games. The night time entertainment could be improved and can be cheesy at times, but it's just a group of young adults trying to give people a laugh and have a good time, if you don't take yourself too seriously and are up for a laugh, you'll enjoy it! Some nights external performers are utilized, the break dancing group were fantastic! The entertainment team work from 9:30 am all the way to 3 am the next morning! As they put on a free bus and travel with the guests that want to go to bar street.

The location of the hotel was ideal, it is about a 5 minute walk from the beach front in a quieter area. The hotel has free WiFi in the reception area, but we didn't use this so unsure of how good it is.

To summarize, the hotel was fantastic and ensured we enjoyed our week in Marmaris. I would recommend it to anyone, of any age!

Room Tip: Email the hotel and ask for a pool view room, also the top floor balconies looked amazing!

First impressions were very good, nice lobby and the whole place is kept very clean. location is about a five minute walk from the shops and beach front and is tightly packed between several other very noisy hotels. we arrived around 2 am and were put into a temporary room as our rooms wouldn't be ready until the afternoon of the following day, which meant we couldn't really settle and unpack properly. we ended up with a nice room that had a pool and sea view but our friends had a room facing the hotel opposite that played thumping music every night and caused them to have hardly any sleep. The rooms were kept very clean and the cleaning staff were all very friendly. reception staff were less friendly and not quite on the ball, but bar staff, dining room and pool staff were all very friendly as were the entertainment team. Charlie the pool man was excellent and couldn't do enough for you and he doubled as bar staff at night! Music was played very loudly by the pool during the day which didn't make for a relaxing atmosphere but others seemed to enjoy it. food was of a good quality but obviously Turkish cuisine and i would say that it tasted a lot better than it looked, so its worth having a little taste of things. the cheeses salads and cakes were all beautifully presented. overall i would not stay at this hotel again because it is a little noisy for my taste but it would be ideal for families and it is great value for money.
