“4th year”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 10, 2013

Just got back from our 4th year at the Club Palm Garden/Keskin and once again had a good stay with a just a couple of grievances.Got to the hotel in the early hours of the morning to be greeted with a smile from the guy at reception. After checking in he helped us to our room with our bag.Once in our room we unpacked and had a venture out on the balcony. This is where my first gripe was.Unbelievable every sunbed had a towel on it,i was gobsmacked. It was 4.15am. Went to bed for a couple of hours thinking i had travelled back in time to our first visit. On waking we went down to poolside to meet friends who told us that people were paying staff to put towels out.A group of us went to reception to complain and were told the situation would be rectified. The following day towels went out again and then the next.Deciding enough was enough my wife and i complained again and im pleased to say things were then sorted. The rest of our stay there was no problem getting a sunbed. The staff in the Palm Garden are very friendly as were the bar staff. An observation id like to make is the staff who knew little English seemed to keep themselves to themselves but when i made the effort they too were very friendly.Ate at the hotel several times and the food is quite good and value for money.Gripe number 2 the mattress in room 422.Like concrete. All in all had an enjoyable stay and would definately return.

Room very basic and 'tired' looking. On arrival at 12.30am, no bed for my daughter. Took 2 visits to reception before sheets and pillow were found for the put u up bed in the sitting room. Not enough cutlery, plates, cups etc for us as a family of five, but then again we hadn't planned on doing any cooking! Not cleaned very well. Having said all this, we had a brilliant holiday. Pool large with plenty of sun beds, but they don't like you taking your own drinks to the pool as they want you to spend money at the bar. Food very reasonably priced though. Plenty of good restaurants in the surrounding area, all very cheap with good food. Short walk to the beach and nearby shops. Music is very, very loud up until midnight though and if your apartment is situated in block A, you also have to put up with the loud music from the hotel Club Dena over the road.

Room Tip: I don't know about noise problems in blocks b, c and d, but block a caught between loud noise fr...

just returned back from a two week holiday at the keskin. This is the 4th time i have stayed at this hotel and certainly cannot fault it hence why we have returned for the 4th time.Reading some of the comments about not having their rooms cleaned and towels etc changed ours where changed regularly ,binned emptied every day and kept clean.Bar staff and waiters where fantastic, jimmy will stevie where great , jj and volcano where fantastic couldnt do enough for us .Only problem we found this year was the towels on the sunbeds where it got people where putting their towels on at 12 in evening and not even sitting by pool till the afternoon , but due to complaints this was soon resolved and wasnt a problem in our 2nd week.Picadilly i would highly recommend as food and staff are fantastic, if you want a good steak id recommend natalies steak house.all in all we had another fantastic holiday at the keskin , met some lovely people and the staff also, as jimmy says all you single ladies shake you boobies , oi oi saveloy , and many more lol, certainly would return to the keskin.

Room Tip: id recommend lower floors , as last year stayed right at top and rooms werent as nice .

After coming back from the hotel we had a good stay because we chilled on the beach most days, my friend and I both 21 year old females stayed together . The hotel staff we found were pleasant but extremely flirtatious towards us asking us out and at times making us feel v uncomfortable, inviting us out alone and making seedy comments. Whilst staying someone room sparked because their were electrical wires sparking above the sink. Someone ring got
stolen and several other things were stolen from guests, my padlock was pulled apart but luckily nothing was stolen from my case in my room ( I had no valuables). Outside down the road is a man called Baresh, he sells trips DO NOT approach him especially if your a young female he is around late 40'a and gave me and my friend nothing but grief to the point where we had to take a different route out of the hotel! He would try to kiss us and hug us and if we were seen with any lads would shout abuse and blank us. Just be careful everyone. The room was nice and the beaches were lovely with some helpful staff, we really enjoyed our Turkish bath and the lady in the shop just outside the hotel was lovely and hilarious :)
Just be careful if your young and female and just say no thank you if people try to approach you.

Arriving in our room at 5.30 in the morning tired, myself and my boyfriend were confronted with a 55 step mountain to climb (yes we counted). Once we finally got up to our room on the highest level, furthest possible room away from the pool - we discovered a small, bright (as the curtains covered half of the window) VERY basic room. We went straight to bed and didn't think too much off it until the next morning when we woke to the horror of what terrible room it actually was. Dirty, tiny, broken shower, no toilet roll holder, horrific uncomfortable blankets, two small beds, a chest of drawers with no seat or way to apply makeup and a small sidetable with a phone on it. So naturally we went the next morning to reception to complain - a disgruntled "no manger here for five days, I cannot help" (in very broken english). The next step was to complain to the Thomas Cook rep who was just as useless, so we had to endure our room for 7 days before we were finally moved (thanks to the helpful manager - when we showed him photos). HOWEVER - peeking into the other rooms and speaking to other users, it seemed we were very unlucky to get the room we did and the next room we were moved to was clean and a far better size with more utilities - the curtains still only covered half the balcony door and it was still bright. DO NOT BOOK A TOP FLOOR ROOM - REQUEST ANY OTHER FLOOR!! Also if booking with a travel agent company - DO NOT BOOK BED & BREAKFAST!! We made this mistake - you get smaller rooms and a choice of cornflakes, egg on toast or a continental salad breakfast. I paid every day for a cooked breakfast and it would have been less money to go self catering. After all this hassle my boyfriend and I still had a great time due to the fantastic bar staff, excursion place across the road and Marmaris itself. The bar staff went out of their way to ensure you were enjoying yourself by the pool during the day and dinner at night time (the food was nice, but we only ate in it twice as the food on the beach front and marina was AMAZING), there were plenty of games for adults and teenagers - but not a lot for young children. I would stay here again if it was self-catering and a room on the middle or bottom floor. I loved my time in Marmaris and would definitely recommend it!

Room Tip: Bottom or middle floor - not bed & breakfast

Our ten day holiday at the Keskin Palm Garden Hotel was made particularly enjoyable by the staff who worked tirelessly to ensure everyone was looked after and entertained. They worked long hours from day break until the early hours of the morning, but did so with a smile on their faces and were great fun.
The pool is fantastic, large and clean and in the afternoons there was always a game of water polo arranged for people to join in with. Accommodation was adequate, we booked self catering but were given a room without facilities but the manager supplied a fridge after we complained so we were happy with that. Location wise, the hotel is a good 20 minute walk away from the harbour, but the buses are plentiful and very cheap. All in all, we had a great holiday and would return again.

Room Tip: Book self catering so that you get some facilities. Bed and breakfast rooms are just a basic hotel r...
