We stayed at this hotel for 1 week . we arrived at midnight the receptionist was NOT frindly at all , we checked in quikly then we were taken to room number 213 , the room was spacious and also clean BUT the air condition didnt work at all we called the receptionist to send someone ti fix it . He send someone with the nightmanager who was very RUDE and they told us that there is no problem with it , we asked to change our room they told us that the hotel was full , we asked them to do something because the room was unbarebly hot and we were very tiered the rude RUUUUUUUUUDE receptionist told us that if we didnt want the room the we should sleepin the lobby !!! we shouted at them and and threatned them that we will speak to the manager . they promised us to change the room at morning so we slept in our friends room we were 4 at ONE room what a nightmare.the next day we changed our room to 207 and also the aircondition was not working then they moved us to room 407 which was much better.

The restaurant was very crowded and the food was very repetative with few few changes every day ,if u want to drink something you have to stand in along que .the pool was clean , the animation team was less than average their programs were very boring and rediculous .
95% of the guests of this hotel are turkish most of them were noisy . i dont recomend you to go to la carte restaurant because the food is the same in the main restaurant.despite of all the negative points we had good time .

My wife and I stayed at the hotel for ten days at the beginning of July.

We had a lovely holiday, although there are a couple of issues that the hotel would need to address before I would give it five stars.

Cons:

The system in the main buffet restaurant is a shambles. There is not a single table for a couple. They are all for minimum four people, sometimes more. This leads to chaos during busy times, when there are no empty tables. As a pair, you also can't go and get food (and therefore eat) together. One has to sit at the table while the other goes up. If not, you'll lose the table while getting food.

The waiters do a fantastic job here, and cannot be faulted.

However in a five star hotel (and in all that I've been in) I would expect to be seated and served drinks at the table. Not to have to queue at a small bar with limited drink choices in the corner of a dinner hall.

The rooms. They lack basic storage. No drawers. A double wardrobe with no space on the left hand side. What's the point?

I also have not a single clue why there's a window between the shower and the room.

And as much as I see their point over the third bed, if every room has this arrangement, why not have tables for 3 in the dinner hall?

The staff at reception were also less than happy looking . I suspect their lack of English was part of it, but having been to several five star hotels this was the hotel with the worst welcome and least friendly customer service.

The hotel management. Every now and then we'd see some management guys barking orders, but by and large they were invisible. Their staff work hard. Really hard. I didn't see them around, interacting with guests or helping out once.

Pros:

The Animation Team are fantastic. Charlie, Nadji (I've guessed the spelling), Ozlem and Selena work so hard every day. They try hard to get everyone going, are polite, friendly and work hard on their English. I wanted to take them all home with us, just so they could do their dances for me every day. The other Ozlem (Susie) who did the kids club also worked very hard and chatted to guests every evening.

The bar staff at the pool are also brilliant. Always polite and willing to have a laugh. They also remember their customers night after night - no mean feat with so many people there every day. Ferhat and Cobra are the two I remember. Great bunch of guys.

The hotel spa is fantastic. Can is a great guy and works so hard on trying to attract guests into his spa. Don't go to the cattle market Turkish baths in town. Go to the hotel spa and get personal treatment. It was wonderful and well worth the money.

In conclusion I'd say that this is an excellent hotel in a very good location. The choice of food was good, although the chaotic atmosphere detracted from seeing it at times.

I would also recommend that people get a sea-view room if possible. We were facing the road and it was frequently noisy with pubs and music until later at night. It would be very different on the other side of the hotel.

I would go back to the hotel, but I wouldn't class it as good as several five star hotels in which I've stayed before.

The hotel is placed right on the beach as the name says.
It has 5 floors and 225 rooms. Every standard room is triple meaning that it has a double bed and a single one. Each room has a balcony with sea or town view. The door is activated with a magnetic card. You get only one card per room. All the rooms have individual AC but this one is connected to the balcony door. If you open this door the AC will automatically switch off. If you close and lock the door, the AC will automatically switch on but it will take 1-2 minutes. After this…enjoy the cool air!
At arrival, you will find in the fridge 2 bottles of sparkling water and 2 of still water. Later on, only the still water will be replaced. But you can refill your bottles from the beverage dispenser from bars or restaurant. The room is big enough, it has a small LCD TV connected to satellite. You can watch mostly Turkish and Russian channels. At the entrance, you have a wardrobe and a safe-box inside for which you have to pay 2 euro/day if you wanna use it.
The bathroom looks nice. The standard room has just shower. It is interesting that you have a window between the shower and the room. The window has incorporated a shutter which cannot be lifted up but just opened/closed.
The room is clean and the cleaning is performed daily. The towels are not changed daily unless you request it. I think they change them at every 2-3 days. A lot of liquid soap and shampoo provided.
Each room has a panel with light on the outside indicating the room number. If you enter the room and activate the electricity, the panel will light up. If you leave the room and remove the card from its place, in 10 seconds the light will go off. The cleaning lady will know if you are in or out of the room.
The check-in is fast. Unfortunately, the speaking language is Russian mostly. The receptionists speak English but not all of them are really good. But they do their best. If you have any problem you can go also at the Client Relation desk placed right in front of the elevators.
There are two restaurants: Main restaurant and A la carte restaurant. For A la carte you need to make reservation in advance. The Main restaurant has a big capacity but you can have a table on the terrace. There is a big variety of foods : beef and chicken meat prepared in various ways but just one sort of lamb and turkey (sometimes). Surprisingly, not too much fish. A lot of vegetables already prepared or not. A lot of dressings close to them. In the morning you get different compotes, yogurts, jams, many sorts of cheese and salami; coffee and tea prepared by yourself or from the beverage dispenser. Fruits all the time. The bar inside the restaurant will provide you any drink you want included in AI system.
There are 3 bars in the hotel : one in the lobby next to reception, one in Main restaurant and one on the terrace from the outdoor pool. The lobby bar is open starting 1000 hrs and only here you can get a delicious Turkish coffee. You can get it out on the lobby terrace and you can sip it slowly while admiring the sea from the coach. All 3 bars can serve you very good draft beer(Efes) and local alcoholic drinks like vodka, gin, whisky or cocktails straight from the bottle or prepared by the bartenders. The local whisky is interesting because the taste and even the bottle and the colors of the label remind about the J&B. Taste it! Only from the pool bar you can get drinks on the beach.
The bars close at 2400 hrs.
The beach is a little bit narrow but if you have a walk on the promenade area along the shore ( and I recommend it in the night) you will see that other hotels have a worst situation. But they built something like pontoons where they placed sunbeds just to replace the lack of beach. The beach is private and it has 90 umbrellas with 2 sunbeds and one coffee table for each of them. Entering into the water you will feel a little bit uncomfortable because of the first 3-4 meters covered by small rocks. But immediately after you’ll get the sand. The water is salty and keeps you above, so do not worry if you cannot swim and get a bit deep water after 6-7 meters from the shore. Even if you want you cannot drown.
Around the pool you will find around 130 sunbeds. The water here is 1,5 m deep. There is also a small pool for little kids. At the arrival, you’ll get a towel card. You can get a towel in the morning starting with 0800 hrs from the indoor pool and you have to bring it back until 2000 hrs if you want to get a fresh one next day. If you lose a card you have to pay 10 euro.
The hotel is having a spa and massage area. The price is fix or can be negotiated according with the number of sessions you get. In the pool area you will find a small shop, a hairdresser and a jewelry store. There is also a kid’s area somewhere there.
The entertainment team is not really good. I have seen them on the beach only 2 times in 7 days and just for a short moment of darts. They stay around the pool and try to get the people up for dance. In the night from 2100 to 2130 hrs you have mini-disco for children, in the same area. But in both situations the songs and the dances are the same. Every day. I do not know way: there are thousands of songs on this world. Almost every second day they bring local dancers for performing traditional or modern dances. Very interesting moments! They tried with karaoke 2 times but it didn’t work. Later on, you can play bingo if you like it. But if you didn’t come just for rest and relaxation and if you really look for entertainment you just cross the street and you have plenty of bars and restaurant just waiting for you.
They have a lot of staff especially in the restaurant and pool bar. “Hundreds” of bellboys and cooks are running inside the Main restaurant for cleaning the tables or replacing the empty food trays. If you want to go to get some more food or drinks make sure that somebody is watching your place. Otherwise, you might find the table clean and somebody else in your place. Very efficient!
The politeness is the main rule governing in the hotel. Even if the staff do not understand you English or Russian, do not get nervous; repeat and they will do their best to help you.
Enjoy your holiday!

This hotel is brand new so the rooms are superb! The food is great and the views/beach is fantastic! It is so posh, the dining areas are definitely 5 stars!

Entertainment is really good and would be great for families.

Only minor issue was that the elevators never working properly which made it annoying to walk up and down the stairs all the time.

This hotel is great and I recommend it to everyone!

I spent 10 days here in mid June with my wife and daughter and found the hotel to be excellent throughout. The staff were all friendly without being intrusive as they have been in other Turkish hotels. They could not do enough to help you. When my safe stopped working the bellboy spent an hour trying to fix it before replacing it, note they are not fastened to the wall! The bedroom was very comfortable with all you could need in it. (Why the window between the shower and bedroom?). Towel are provided for the pool and beach.

The food was excellent with a varied choice, from pizza and chips upwards, and the steak in the Al la Carte was fantastic, this is situated next to the beach with service and is included for one night per week, make sure you use it. The restaurant could get crowded but the staff always seemed to manage to find us a table. The animation team is on the go all the time, encouraging you to take part in everything but do know when to stop. The photographer produced a fantastic album for us at a reasonable price and again was not pushy about it.

It is right on the beach which is stony, so a pair of gel shoes are great for getting into the sea, there is a good sized area roped off for safe swimming with independent waters sports beside it. Sellers walk through the beach but do not hassle you. The view from the beach is great, and there is usually a cooling breeze. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Avoid the front which overlooks the main road.

I would also like to share my fresh impressions from Golden Rock Beach hotel. On 24-th June we came back from a wonderful holiday at Golden Rock Beach hotel in Marmaris, where we spent an unforgettable week. Actually when we arrived we were moved from Pasa beach to Golden Rock beach hotel. First of all, we will never forget the warmth and hospitability of the staff there, which were always kindly disposed and that makes you feel very comfortable and cosy. The rooms were with all modern conveniences and very well furnished, so that there was nothing you could miss. Since we had a sea view room, we were able to see the sea from each point, even from the beds. There was much enough daylight in the room, because the windows were in a French design and you could see the sky and sea so close and so clear.
The hotel as a whole was very well positioned, opened to the sea and the green panorama. The beach was a few steps from the hotel and much maintained. The staff was also there to help and service the guests. When you enter the hotel, the lobby is so bright, because the walls are from ceiling to the floor made of glass. That makes the hotel very charming and spacious. The lobby was enough air-conditioned and furnished, so you could stay there for hours.
There were a lot of facilities and entertainment around the pool, spa and fitness inside, massages and evening programmes, which makes the holiday of the guests enough pleasant and complete.
The animation team could not leave you to be bored. They play with the guests, greet them each morning and dance around the pool.
And not at last place, I will never forget the restaurant, where you could eat so many delicious dishes, desserts and variety of fruit. Whatever you could think of eating, you would find it there. The food was amazing and fresh prepared. I strongly recommend you to try La Carte restaurant of Golden Rock Beach hotel. You will meet special Turkish relation, perfectly prepared dishes, accompanied by the magnificent view towards the sea and the green hills and palms around. Very pleasant and relaxing atmosphere.
I definitely recommend Golden Rock Beach hotel to everyone who wonders in which hotel to stay for his/her holiday in Marmaris, because I am sure that he/she would receive more than is expected.
Thank everybody from the staff, who made my holiday so special and unforgettable!
