We went to stay at the Sinem Hotel for 10 nights in Aug this year and we had an amazing time. This was our first time in Turkey and we were not sure what to expect but were extremly pleased with the hotel. It is close to the main strip and the beaches but enough away that it is quiet and not in a busy area. It was basic but very clean, the rooms were quite small but you are not in it much during the day so it was all that we needed. The food was lovely and the hotel staff made the holiday for us. They were very polite and such a good laugh. I have been reading other reviews and some of them dont even sound like they were staying at the same hotel. At the end of the day you get what you pay for and for it being a 3 star hotel I say it was a complete bargain. We look forward to going back and spending more time there! :)

Maybe it was a mistake going back again, (please see my review of last year). Obviously the main selling points of this hotel have not changed ( price and location) however a year on and it has lost some appeal, it is only fair that i now re rewiew this hotel in an up to date honest way.

Positives: Price, location and staff.
Negatives: No longer a well kept secret, hotel now appears in a leading travel brochure, this has attracted too many people to a small run hotel, not enough sunbeds, people getting towels on beds by 7.30 , turn up after 9 and no chance getting around the pool. No longer just a family based holiday, prices and brochure have attracted young groups and whilst well behaved the sound of high heels on marble at 5 in the morning is a hell of a wake up call. Whilst i love this hotel and the staff it really needs to decide the way it wants to go, either family based with returning guests year after year or sell out to the masses for a quick buck

We have just come back from a two week stay at the Sinem Hotel and it was our first time in Turkey. The hotel is in a great postion by being just off the main strip so it is away from the noise and the hussle and bussle but only a couple of minutes walk to all the shops, bars and the beach. The hotel itself is basic but very clean. We went B & B and our room was in the front of the building the room wasn't over large but it was just right, the bathroom was nice and clean and was really suprised how lovely the shower was, we were given two hand towels and used one as a bath mat, we had twin beds that we pushed together when we came back from the beach the cleaner had put a double sheet on the bed and given us a double top sheet that we weren't expecting and was really nice. We knew before we got there that we would have to pay for the air con and the safety deposit box and were happy to do that. The air con was a must as the temperature never went below 30+ degrees. We had breakfast every morning but as it was only boiled eggs, cucumber, tomatoes, olives and cheese I just stuck to the bread that you can toast if you wanted and jam. It was fine and if you wanted a cooked breakfast you could pay to have one. We aren't really pool people so we went down the beach every day so I can't comment on the pool area though I did notice that there wasn't many umberalls and people did seem to get their towels on the sunbeds quite early, but that is the same anywhere you go. We found the staff really nice and friendly and we did have a few drinks at the bar a couple of evenings and enjoyed it. I have read a few negative reviews about having to talk quietly in the evenings and that there wasn't any entertainment but it wasn't an issue for us as we only wanted a quiet drink around the bar and to be honest I didn't realise that people were talking quietly! Same goes for the lack of entertainment I personally don't like cheesy hotel entertainment so was glad there wasn't any! and I wasn't expecting there to be any as it was made clear that it was a small family run hotel. To be honest there are loads of lively bars if that is what you want. Overall we were happy with our stay at the Sinem and are looking to go back next year but will probably go for the self catering as it is so cheap to eat out anyway.

Just returned from the sinem and first time in turkey, the rooms were indeed very basic with barely three cups, plates and spoons, no bowls for cereal. only one ring of the two ring hotplate worked and the toaster took forever, only one plug socket for hotplate, toaster and kettle, so breakfast was a nightmare. location was quite good, far enough from the noise and walkable to most places. No entertainment , and when you tried to make your own with the other residents it was frowned upon and the bar would close, not ideal when your on holiday. The owner would hang around watching everything all day and night, not socialising, maybe checking on her staff, very unnerving though, we did enjoy the peaches that grew on the tree by the pool, they havent found a way of charging for them yet. Would i go back........ no

I have been reading down the bad reviews and i think they are a little extreme. You get what you pay for. This hotel is basic but spotlessly clean, with all the amenities you need for your break in the sun. There is a late bar, a big pool with plenty of sun loungers, breakfast each morning and close to the beach and nightlife - what more could you want?
You do have to pay extra for air con but it is worth it - and the quality was perfect. Turn it up and within minutes the room is cool.
The staff are friendly, especially around the bar area, and any request we made at reception was handled quickly and efficiently.
The hotel would not be recommended by Falcon travel agents (amongst other agents) if the accommodation wasnt up to scratch - isn't that what we pay for when we book a package holiday? Everything is pre arranged and specially selected for us.
We met two other couples last year who were staying else where and they were having a nightmare - dirty apartments and terrible food - this cannot be said about Sinem.
I am returning again this year for two weeks and I cant wait!
