This is a beautiful resort with really lovely scenery and views. It is very hilly however, so definitely not for anyone who isn't fit. When we arrived we were given a room with a beautiful view but very high up. We could have waited for the buggy but I preferred to be lower down. Ozlem, the Public Relations Manager was excellent. We changed rooms without any trouble. On my Birthday we had a free bottle of wine and fruit in the room. I cannot praise her highly enough. Nothing was too much trouble for her.

The food was good with an amazing choice. However, although it said no beachwear in the restaurant, there were some people who didn't take any notice of this! The two restaurants were lovely and well worth visiting.

The entertainment was brilliant, There were outside acts, the regular entertainers and a quiz most nights. My main criticism is that although there were designated smoking areas, no-one took any notice and the management didn't do anything about it. So, there was no avoiding clouds of cigarette smoke wherever you sat.

The choice of pools was very good and you could always get a sun lounger. Or you could go to the beach. There was free water all the time and in the room too.

It would be hard to fault this hotel and it is excellent value for money. I can understand why people go back, but for me it was a bit too much like a holiday camp!

Room Tip: If you don't like walking up and down hills, make sure you ask for a room that is low down.

Dear Guest,

I thank you for choosing to stay with us at the Marmaris Imperial and for posting your review on Trip Advisor. I am very happy to read that you had enjoyed your stay with us and that we met your expectations. Thank you for mentioning Public Relations Team, all of our team members work really hard and comments like yours really motivates the team. We are aware that sometimes guests do not respect the clear signs indicating smoking and non smoking areas, we are re looking at this for next year.

Thank you once again.

My kind regards,

Lovely picturesque resort which was clean throughout and we had a very nice holiday but some small areas that need work. Anyone looking to book this holiday I'm sure you'll have a great holiday but having been to similar priced hotels in the past we feel there are areas for improvement. The resort really was the most beautiful place and was kept very clean throughout. The food was good, we especially liked the salads (grown on site) and the fresh cooking stations, especially for dinner. There was never an issue getting loungers, routinely some by the main pool still being available around 10am. The entertainment was there but we appreciated it being kept low key and not being hassled to join in. The reps were very helpful and we enjoyed taking the boat to marmaris centre one evening. There were also some good touches such as the fridges filled with water bottles you could help yourself to and switching over the outdoor area for the evening by swapping the loungers for beanbags, tables and candles. The cat cafe was also a clever idea to keep the stray cats away from the main areas.

On the downside, the rooms were very basic and it would have been nice to have some soft drinks in the rooms, especially as they're so far away from the main resort. Our room was connected to another (separate couple) and so we had a shared terrace style balcony which we didnt like but the bigger issue (and i dont know if it was because it was a linked room) but we could hear everything in the next room. The service was inconsistent on the whole and some of the staff were unfriendly and often very slow. At dinner the drinks are supposed to be table service but only once during the week did we get a refill. The alcohol was drinkable but nothing special and we'd have appreciated fresh juices.

On a side note, we did the dalyan checkout trip on the last day and thought It was badly run, they messed us around a lot and I wouldn't recommend it. The food was terrible for lunch and the upgraded hotel dinner too. I'd have much preferred to stay at the hotel in hindsight.

Overall though it is a nice hotel and good for a relaxing week, we've had better experiences for similar prices at other hotels so 4 out of 5 for us.

We have stayed at this hotel a few times now and each time we go it seems to get better and better, if that's possible. The food is of very high standard, much better than you would expect from an AI resort. There is a show cooking area where everything is freshly cooked in front of you. A wide variety of food and something for everyone's taste. The soups are particularly tasty (and the cakes!). This is the first time we have stayed in September, but we will definitely be booking for this time of year again as the weather was perfect for us. The staff are very very attentive and friendly, they can't do enough to help. There are a lot of steps to the rooms as mentioned in other reviews but this is highlighted everywhere before you book, so it shouldn't come as a surprise at all when people get there. Some people will moan about anything! The walk can be very nice & romantic, but if you don't fancy the walk then the bell boys are more than happy to drive you up and down to and from your rooms in the little golf buggys. There are plenty of places to sunbathe, two swimming pools, a beach, a jetty and a promenade, so something for every sunbather. There is a good selection of watersports available, all very well priced, and the watersports staff again are very helpful and friendly. The resort itself is in a wonderful location, overlooking all the posh yachts at the harbour. The entertainment is also of a higher standard than you would expect. Whilst we were there, there was a guest act on from Liverpool UK, Cy Tucker & Arthur, who were absolutely excellent, very professional and in a different league. Very very entertaining and at the end of each set the did left the audience screaming for more. On their last night the tables were actually rearranged to man the dance floor bigger as almost every one was up dancing to them! The Voices were also very very impressive, they were three very talented singers, especially the girl from hungry. The reps also provided good entertainment, with a quiz each night with a prize from the spa, and some were singing too, Amy we thought was a particularly good singer. A very nice touch I find here is how well the cats are looked after. It's kind of a nature reserve so there is wildlife around, but the cats who have taken residence here are very lucky! There is a 'cat cafe' that the hotel have made, where the cats are fed well and looked after to keep them away from the eating areas. When we were there, there was a litter of kittens who were all incredibly friendly, and who my other half insisted on visiting every time we passed! It's lovely to see a hotel / resort that genuinely cares about the animals who hav found their way there.

I really can't say enough about this hotel. Well done to the manager and all the staff as it's them who make it as good as it is. I will definitely be booking for 2014 and I couldn't recommend it enough.

We visited this wonderful hotel last year and had such an amazing time came back yet again. Did'nt disappoint. The small changes made , made all the difference because they actually listen to people!! Loved it so much booked straight away for next year. Then one thing that struck me was that the whole ambiance was very romantic this year . This is reflected by the amount of proposals I am seeing!! Will not go into the same details as every one else but well done in now been no 10 lets see if we can get it into the top 5!! I think so. Looking forward to the new things next year, Sharon you have an amazing sight of what you want and you continue to achieve this and Ozlem you are as ever as efficient as always and your sense of humour is wicked!!!
Keep up the good work you have an amazing team and yes I do want to be Sadar's assistant. One is never too old!! Cannot wait for next year and will be in touch with requirements. xx

We decided to book this hotel through the Thomson's couples range. Prior to booking we had read a lot of the reports on trip advisor.
The rooms are built along a beautiful wooded hillside, the main building of the hotel which has the restaurants and reception is towards the centre of the site. the hill is not a problem for any healthy adult, but worth noting. The hotel will however run guests around in golf buggies if the walking or hill proved to be too difficult.

We booked a suite which met out requirements. Suite 223 had an spacious bedroom and double bathroom arrangement. The sitting room had a cane sofa and flat screen TV. The sitting room & bedroom also had a view of the Marmaris bay from the balcony.

The staff were excellent and professional and mostly understood spoken English The room service was discrete and efficient. Plenty of bottled water was provided in the rooms for free.

I enjoyed the range of food and also the theme nights. The freshly baked bread was a delight. The staff quickly cleared the dining room tables which helped turn the favourite seating area's around. Local wines and beer was served at the tables during the evening meal.Generously amounts of food was available at every meal time. The dining room setting was fantastic with lovely views across the bay.

The grounds were well maintained.

There was day time actives available, including a gym, sauna, two swimming pools, hairdresser, small independent shops archery, mountain bikes, water sports. The sunset powerboat trip was well worth the extra cost. I believe it was around 80 TL. There was also talented photographers available should you wish to capture that special moment.

We went on a trip to Rhodes which was arranged by the Thomson rep. We enjoyed the trip, and felt it was well worth the cost.

The breeze bar was well run and lived up to it's name, offering a shelter from the midday sun.
The Harmony bar was lovely, for quite drinks and meals.

If you wanted your own space the hotel had grounds enough to sit alone under the pine & oak trees.

The grounds felt secure with a security man on the gate and very discrete evening patrols.

Good points:- The location for a quite holiday. The staff, helpful. The food - too much.
The atmosphere was peaceful.

Bad point- transfer time from the airport was about 90 mins. The guests hogging sunbeds for hours on end with only a towel and no sign of it's owner. Yes I understand the people go for meals /drink and go for a swim, but missing for hours is pure greed. The dawn beach raiders ought to get a life.

Thank you to the Imperial team, a job well done !!!!
