A fun little hotel that is a little tucked away, but still walkable to bar street and beaches. English-speaking staff are very helpful and personable. Nice pool area with a resto/bar area that has some entertainment. Room was nice, but not the best bathroom I've seen (peeling bathtub floor, and broken shower head). The price was right - I'd stay there again.

We stayed at blue palace last year in August for 2 weeks. Last year there was only the self catering apartments and the staff was really friendly and you could have a laugh with them and they'd jump in the pool. This year they have bought the block next door which is half board. We stayed in the self catering block again and they had changed staff but still had the same manager. You couldn't have a laugh with any of them. They didn't jump in the pool or anything in my opinion it turned boring!

The rooms are very spacious however the sofa bed is very uncomfortable. The rooms got cleaned everyday and we were left clean towels abd bedding everyday.

A few complaints about this apartment/hotel this time was that we always change our money with the manager and we've never had a problem. This time the manager passed our money to one of his 'bar men' and we changed £100 at the rate of 2.85 so we should have got about 285tl the bar man gave us 185tl! We told him he made a mistake before we left the bar and he gave us some more but still want enough! So on the third attempt we got our money. During the day we then ordered some drinks and it should have come to like 18tl the same guy charged us 20+ for it! So we had to stand there and work it out for him!

Another complaint is that last year around the apartment pool you were allowed to reserve sunbeds....
This year your not allowed to reserve sunbeds around the hotel pool before 8am however round the apartment pool they leave their towels on the sunbeds all night!

When we arrived there was no one on reception and for some reason reception keep passports for 24hours. Theres was no one to greet us. There was no one to take our passports also we wanted the safe, aircon and fan. A bar man ran the manager and he gave us the safe etc but we had to find the manager ourselves to give him our passports.
The meals are ok however I asked for a bacon omlete and I relieved a big plain omlete folded in half with one small ration of bacon in it! Rubbish

I have really gone off this hotel/apartment its gone right down hill

We stayed in the newer hotel part (not apartments) for 11 nights after booking direct with the manager Ramazan.

The hotel complex is new this year having been a separate hotel which they've bought and joined up with the older apartment complex. So now there is a new pool, breakfast/dinner room, bar, reception area etc. All the common areas are very smart and look fresh and modern.

We arrived late night and were shown to our room which was TINY and had 2 single beds, despite me directly requesting a double with the manager. To make things worse the window did not close at all and had been attempted to be stuck closed with two plasters! So I endured a sleepless night (literally a few hours) hearing the noise from outside, especially of the air conditioning condenser.

We were moved to a slightly larger triple room the next day and so got a double bed and a single bed (which we upturned and used to lay clothes on). This room's window still didn't close fully, but after speaking to the manger it was rectified and fixed shut the next day, eventually ensuring a peaceful night's sleep
.
My major gripe was that the air conditioning was not very cold (only goes to 18C, not 16C) or powerful, so it took a very long time to cool down the room. If you moved just a few centimetres from the air conditioner's range, you would not feel the cold air at all. The manager acknowledged the air con was not working well and went to move us to another room - however when we tested this air con, found it was also poor. So we just had to put up with it!

The hotel has 2 pools - the one by the apartments which is small, and the one by the hotel which is a very decent size. It has a good depth and was never overly crowded - always very clean too. My major complaint with the pool area was the INCREDIBLY LOUD music they played all day from morning til night. It really was uncomfortably loud with 3 big speakers pointed at it - so we had to spend a lot of time by the small pool which had much less music.

It is slightly misleading that Blue Palace's own website quotes how they're located in a quiet residential area (one reason for booking this), yet they are the ones making so much noise with the music). Unfortunately people would reserve sunbeds with their towels then go out for the majority of the day, though this seems to be common in most hotels (why?!)

Rooms were pretty clean overall and the maid was friendly, although we did have to ask specifically for the bathroom side to be wiped down and floor mopped as this wasn't cleaned for several days and got quite dirty. Clean towels and sheets were always crisp and smelt laundry-fresh. Beds were rock hard, but we put 2 thick blankets under out sheet which softened it up somewhat. Shower pressure was not exactly high but adequate, there was always hot water.

The location is very good, just a 5 minute walk from the beach, and although the address is 'Siteler',which looks a little far from things on maps, I'd say it's very centrally located for the beachfront bars, restaurants and the main area of the beach with all the sunbeds.

Overall, we had a good stay at Blue Palace after settling in, but the problems encountered did cause us to look for another hotel in the first few days, and consider moving for the remainder of the holiday. We looked at Gold Kaya Hotel on the beachfront. Very similar price to what we paid (I think we overpaid to be honest), but much nicer rooms (big comfortable beds, glass fronted shower cubicle, all very modern and with great sea view).

To summarise, staff were very friendly, location is good. But rooms are very small and would be very noisy if you are facing the pool.

Room Tip: Choose a room at the front of the hotel, away from the pool and bar if you want it quiet. The hotel...

We just got back from two weeks at the Blue Palace in marmaris. My wife, two children and niece had a fantastic time in Marmaris which was helped by staying at this brilliant hotel. The staff were all great and extremely welcoming and would make lots of fuss of the children, they would also do anything for you. The manager, john, solved any problem straight away. Rooms were cleaned everyday with clean towels. Location was good, only 10 min to the beech and 5 min from bars and shops. Will definatly consider coming back next year. I highly recommend the blue palace

We stayed at the blue palace for a week half board. We arrived late at night but the manager was still there to greet us and was extremely helpful. Breakfast was a bit of a let down but didn't cloud our yet great stay . The waiters were all lovely and made an effort with all the children. Night time meals were buffet with a choice of main course. Entertainment was local but also very entertaining x

just come back from a week stay at the blue palace apartments they were spotless the staff were really friendly and john the manager was very friendly and introduced himself to us and would say hello gary to my husband everytime he saw him. the hotel part is new and is very tastefully decorated and the food area is immaculate. would definatly be going back as it was a great location and as it was our first time to marmaris it was central to all amenities. a great holiday enjoyed by us both.

Room Tip: apartments on level 2 have a really good view of the pool.

i stayed at the blue palacefrom the 10th - 20th of july 2013 and had the best time ever, on holiday there was myself my partner and 2 of my kids millie and amelia aged 1 and 2 years old, the 2 girls who work in the pool side bar were great and a very good help with the kids, millie and amelia will miss them, im sure the girls will miss them too
this really is my favourite hotel of all the ones ive been to in armutalan marmaris, in fact its the best ive been to period of all the places ive been to, the food is lovely and worth trying, i enjoyed the pool party, the cleanliness is just spot on
the hotel has been fully refurbished and joined with the hotel next door with 2 larger pools and 2 baby pools, this is very modern and comfortable and pictures are very dated and dont do the hotel justice, i would gladly return here with my kids, in fact i didnt even want to leave, i could easily have stayed on, book this hotel if you want a great location, clean ,modern hotel ,friendly staff, a warm welcome
well done john the manager for really making a sucess of the hotel and the owner should be proud to have you
the owner also makes himself known to all guests and he has a lovely family
5 star ***** would defo recomend to anyone
john tell the 2 girls we all miss them

Room Tip: i was happy with mine so i would expect them all to be fine
