“Nice & Relaxing Stay”
Reviewed July 20, 2014

Not long back after staying at the Cettia Beach Resort, was my first trip to Turkey and certainly enjoyed it. The hotel is approx 1 hour 45 minute coach transfer from Dalaman Airport, which included a rest stop about half way for anyone requiring food, refreshments, toilet or simply just to stretch your legs.

Checked into the hotel at about 6pm to which there were no issues, had to pay extra for the safe in room but this was expected. Bags were taking upstairs by member off staff and he activated the safe for us. The room itself was modernly furnished and air con worked a treat, rooms was cleaned daily along with fresh bedding and towels. Fridge in room was stocked with complimentary bottles of water, 3 tins of juice and bottle of beer.

We had booked all inclusive for our stay, breakfast was served from 0700-1030, lunch was served 1230-1400 and dinner was served 1930-2130 all of which was open buffet with 'live action' food being cooked outside during each meal time. The food was good, however began to become largely repetitive near the end of the stay with there always being some incarnation of meatballs, turkey, fish and rice being on the menu for dinner and lunch. Snacks were available from the Tirziik Bar & Gril outside from 1300-1700, 1930-2130 and again at night from 2330-2400 which served chips, burgers, pizza and chicken nuggets. There was ice cream served in the pool area from 1500-1600 which was popular and always queued for. Drinks for the all inclusive were all local spirits vodka, whiskey, dark rum, peach schnapps, raki and efes beer on tap. Soft drink & water dispensers were freely available in the restaurant and outside bar.

The entertainers Izzy & Ozzy were on the go from around 1000 till midnight and were always full off energy but wasn't pushy when it came to asking about the activities they held. Would also recommend the Buddha Spa located at the base of the hotel where a range of traditional Turkish treatments are available at reasonable cost. There is also a friendly on site Photographer whom will likely introduce himself when he first see you but isn't pushy for you to book nor take any photos if you have a shoot, but I must say his photos are really good and we had bought 30 prints which were available the following day along with a disc of all the photos for £100.

Would defiantly recommend a stay at Cettia Beach for people looking for a relaxing, chilled out stay. It's situated out with the hustle and noise of the busier bars and restaurants on the beach front but is only a 10-15 minute walk away from them and about hours walk away from the centre or Marmaris.

Room Tip: Beach towels provided by hotel daily so no need to take your own

Myself and my boyfriend stayed here 11 nights from 4th July, we checked in at around 5 in the morning and had to take our cases up to our rooms ourself - no assistance offered. We had room 313 a side view room which had a double bed and a single, nice modern room and cosy and a lovely waterfall shower. The bed was comfy too however not much space for clothes (the single bed was used to keep our clothes on).

We were meant to get free wifi however it kept saying user not found wenever we tried to log in and reception would keep saying try later even though nothing changed other people seemed to have it working fine for them.

The pool is nice but a bit too deep for me but there is a smaller pool beside it, there are games in the pool during the day like water polo.

The food was average in the buffet restaurant but always something you will like, alot of the same things eaxh day so we ate out a few times. There is theatre cooking outside which is nice, fresh fish and meat cooked infront of you. Or you can eat at the bar grill burgers chips and nuggets.

The staff are so friendly and work so hard! The entertainment Ozzy and Izzy are great we miss u already!! They took us to bar street a couple of nights and got us buy one get one free as bar street is very expensive!!

The jetty is lovely for sunbathing you get a nice breeze compared to the beach, which is very rocky and gritty.

We used the spa for the turkish bath and massage and had our photos taken on the beach which was a nice touch!

We will definately like to return here however we always like to try somewhere new on holiday but this is one of the nicest hotels iv stayed in!

Just back from Cettia Beach for our 8th stay in Marmaris and have to say Cettia is up there with the Sunrise hotel from last summer.

The hotel is very clean and has good standard rooms. The lobby, bar and restaurant are very clean. The food is of very good quality and there was plenty of variety. The outside "theatre/grill" area was fantastic.

The pool area is a bit on the small side - not enough room for nearly enough sun loungers but is very clean and the staff make sure there isn't glasses/rubbish left laying around. The pool itself is lovely - if a bit on the small side.

The Jetty/beach area is also fantastic - however there are a couple of broken parasols which need replacing.

Ozzy and Izzy are the entertainment team - they do a great job with the water polo and games. The Buddha spa is brilliant - we had two hot stone massages which we enjoyed.

There is so much good to say about the hotel and it is deservedly in the top 10 in Marmaris but a few things need improving. Firstly the wifi is terrible and the staff in the restaurant area could do with a smile.

One thing we didn't like was the number of Dutch guests and how rude they were - the rudest I've ever met - pushing into queues in the restaurant and bar and generally being arrogant around the place, but that's not the hotels fault!

Overall a fantastic 10 days and we will be back!

We did not get of to the best of starts with the Hotel when we tried to check in the receptionist could not find our booking and was presenting us with paper work that was booked via Thomson which was not who we came with luckily our Thomas cook rep stayed with us until she had to go drop other transfers off leaving us stood in reception for an hour by this time it was 1.30am in the morning and both me and my partner was over tired and wanted a room for the night eventually one of the managers came and said maybe we had the wrong hotel and it was the sister Hotel we was booked into again the Thomas cook rep argued for us and said we was 100% in the right place which we knew we was it was then explained that another party was booked under the same reference as ourselves and as they checked in before us they was given our sea facing room we had paid extra for it was decided that we would be given a deluxe room for the evening but would need to move out again by 10:00am the next day this was highly inconvenient for us as we had already booked day trips the following day so would not be around to move our belongings and was unable to unpack any of our things it was explained the staff at the hotel would do this for us begrudingly and very tired we had no choice but no agree

Once we returned from our day trip we was told our new room number upon inspecting the room I was not convinced that this was the sea view room we had paid extra for but did not wish to be moved again so decided to bring this up with the Thomas cook rep once home

The food was edible and ok until it was repeated night after night and it all began to taste the same the open Theatre cooking was a welcome treat as this was always different food every nigh and was always lovely we also ate a lot at the Bar Grill when it was open or we ate out a few nights

Ozzy and Izzy do a fantastic job trying to get everyone involved with all the activities and entertainment us personally was happy to be lazy all day on the Jetty we loved the evening dancers and Mr Cettia however one night was spoilt by the Grill bar playing the World cup football resulting in lots of German fans crowding the bar to watch we was rudely asked to move while waiting for drinks on more than one occasion we did not go on Holiday to watch Football this should have been accomadated indoors away from other people wishing to use the bar and wishing to watch the evenings entertainment the evenings entertainment was cancelled last minute due to the Football taking over this night ourselves and quite a few over guests was not happy

I can not praise the waiters and Bar staff and Theatre/Grill chefs enough they work such long hours and always greet you with a smile and hello The cleaners was also lovely and our room was always spotless and clean for us

After a bumpy start I did really enjoy our stay at the Cettia and would come again I would however take more money to eat out again as the food can get a tad boring after a couple of days the Jetty and beach was fantastic and made our holiday its in a Fantastic Location

Could not fault this hotel. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and the staff are all fantastic. The location is perfect - right on the seafront and with a great jetty with plenty of sunbeds and waiters to bring you cold drinks with a smile ! There are plenty of bars and shops within a minutes walk if you feel the neef to go out but you don't have to leave tje hotel as everything you could want is there.
Extra touches like a stocked free minibar on arrival, iced fruit and proper icecream in the afternoon and cheese and wine tasting one evening made it more special.
Ozzy and Izzy work tirelessly to entertain you but dont harass you when you want to relax. They really deserve praise for they are always smiling despite working so hard.
The spa was also lovely and I wish I had ventured there earlier as I definitely would have used this facility more.
Food was delicious - yes it gets a bit repetitive every day but there was a great choice and plenty to satisfy even the fussy eaters. Burgers etc available at the snack bar mean you couldn't possibly go hungry here.
I would def go back to this hotel - could find no fsults at all !

Just arrived back from a 10 day holiday. There were six of us in total. Four of us stayed 10 days and the other two stayed six days. On arriving at 7am we were swiftly shown to our rooms. We were in 207, it was a side sea view and although there was a hotel being built next door it did not bother us. In fact it blocked out the sun and our room was always cool. The maid changed our towels every day and the room was spotless, the shower had a waterfall shower and a normal shower - it was fantastic.

Given that I am a very fussy eater, this is the only hotel I have stayed in where I have been able to eat the food. It was always hot and fresh and you could see food being cooked outside.

The pool was very cold but soon got used to it, although if you were not up by 7.30 you could not get a sunbed.

Ozzy was great as the entertainment manager he was the highlight of the day.

Girl on reception was very nice as were most of the staff except for one waiter called Gokhan who was rude to us as we had just come out from the restaurant with our drinks and went to the bar to get another drink before the show started and we were told it was not right that we had six glasses on our table (we were a group of four women). We did complain to the manager. Apart from that we had a great holiday and are considering going back next year. Also this is now an adults hotel and it was heaven not having any kids about.

Room Tip: If you have a full sea view it will be very hot as sun shines on back of hotel.

Just come back form 2 weeks holiday at cettia beach with my husband....we paid to upgrade for a sea view and was a little disappointed with the room, we had room 325 which had a balcony on the side then little patio doors which you could see the sea but not brilliantly... The hotel was very clean and the staff worked really hard.
Food was ok but a bit repetitive at times however the head chef was always around at meal times checking everything was ok...lunchtime the snack bar opened so there was burgers, pizza and chicken nuggets available...
Hotel had it's own private beach which was fab, sunbeds and parasols are free and the waiters bring drinks to you which is brilliant, there was also fruit pots on an afternoon which was a refreshing change.
Coffee machines were available as was fresh juice and water so you could help yourself and fill your bottles up if you wish to.
Ozzy and izzy are the animators and they are great, ask you to join in but there is no pressure if you don't want to...izzy does aqua Zumba on a morning which was brilliant..I never join in with the games but on this occasion we both did join in some of the games and had a good laugh.

Hotel is right on the road and buses stop outside, lots of shops and general supermarkets to look at...we did a jeep safari which was fab...you can hire water pistols and just basically have one massive water fight which is great fun.

Overall a good little hotel...bonus is it's adults only which is a nice change.....would recommend a visit..
Thanks to all the staff for their hard work
