Really and truly for a weeks holiday at Easter - I could not want more. Good old Blighty was covered in snow (whats that all about - it's spring dammit!!!) and here we were in glorious sunshine (the rain only dampened our spirits for 1 day and when it rains you know about it). I was here with my wife and 3 children, ages 18, 20, and 21 and they were not bored once and thoroughly enjoyed the break from Uni. The worst part of my holiday was the journey to and from the airport but it is unavoidable.

Yes there were chickens and cocks doing answer and call at 4.30am and also construction going on but the rooms were reasonably sound proofed from the outside but not so much froom the room next door (if you know what I mean - which reminds me all inclusive means just that; pace yourself when drinking otherwise sounds of being amourous quickly turn into sounds from the Excorcist)

The staff were very friendly and very eager to please and although tipping is at your discretion it is not their mantra. A young man by the name of Metin, who served in the dinning area set the tone of how the staff would be (very warm and welcoming) from the barstaff to the ladies that cleaned your room, to the Animation Entertainment Crew, who took us on 2 nights out at Barr Street (disco land - yes I'm that old) and ensured the saftey of all under their wing was paramount whilst having a good time - needless to say the children thoroughly enjoyed these nights and to be fair my wife and I realised that being old doesn't mean we're cold (thanks Lady Q and DJ Alper). It can be very warm during the day and not so in the evening at this time of year.

It's the type of place that if you came on your own that after the 1st night your "billy no-mates days" would be over as the sun, alcohol, and good food (most of the time) will bring people together.

Courtney (Mr Joe!!!)

Anyone looking for a hotel with friendly staff, beautiful rooms, relaxing surrounding this is definitely the place to go. We spent one week here and truly didn't want to go home. The staff were amazingly friendly from the restaurant to the bar to the entertainment provided by Kubra and Alper of the animation team. The food was good and the hotel beds were possibly the most comfortable we had ever stayed in. Great room service available, accompanied by great rooms.
Casa de Maris I rate it 10 out of 10

Hi, my name is Terry and me and my partner Ellie had a fantastic holiday at this hotel. The staff were absolutley amazing they could not do enough for us, very friendly and courteous towards everyone they met. The facillities were spot on and the food was what you would expect, from the breakfasts to the midnight soup served at 23.30! The hotel was well situated for a nice long stroll into Marmaris town centre and marina and also to Icmeler. You must visit the jeweller Tahir who has a shop in the hotel, very nice to do business with him. The Entertainment was a bit lacking in some respects but it was the first week of the holiday season. All in all we both had a wonderful time and would recommend it to anybody

Room Tip: go for a front seaview over looking the pool area

Me and wife have just returned from a weeks stay(30th march2013-6th April 2013) at casa de Maris hotel. We had such an amazing time, staff were great, food was good and hotel was really good value for money. We only booked the holiday a week before we went and chose all inclusive as the previous reviews were good. The hotel was only about 2 thirds full due to being start of holiday season so this helped as it wasn't overrun and the staff had plenty of time for all the guests. I would highly recommend going to the jewellery shop owned by Mr Tahir, his service was excellent and the watch and black diamonds we bought have been checked and proved to be a really good price we paid. In general this hotel is a very good stay, evening entertainment is a bit lacklustre but if your up for having a good time Maris town centre is a short walk away. We made some good friends on this trip and would highly recommend it and will surely be going back.

Runna and Kirti.

Room Tip: Definitely choose a full sea view room, you won't be dissapointed.

Me and my friend (both male, 23) stayed at the Casa De Maris Spa & Resort Hotel in the first week of April 2013. We decided to go for a relaxing break but with the option to do some excursions/activities in the area. We went through Thomson's and it cost us around £650 all inclusive for 1 week. I had built up high hopes for this holiday as I do not go away very often (last holiday was 7 years ago) and was very excited - only to be completely let down.

I now realise we went the wrong time of year as the season was just beginning and therefore hardly anything was open and hardly anyone was around.

[REVIEW ON THE AREA] 2.5/5
There surrounding area of the hotel was very rundown, I was very surprised and let-down that most places were either closed or still being built, I'm not sure if the area is still up and coming but everywhere you looked some kind of building work was being done. This was not mentioned at all by our travel agent. Definitely nothing more relaxing than walking down the beach front while listening to constant drilling and diggers going from 8am until late...

Our room was allocated on the front side of the hotel where below us was some kind of chicken/hen/cockerel field where they would be making noises from the early hours and throughout the day. Just over the way from our view was a hotel being built where from 8am till 11pm building work was ongoing with cranes, diggers and trucks driving past throughout. This ruined the room experience completely as even with the door shut the sounds were still off-putting and very annoying – this was never mentioned by our travel agent.

[REVIEW ON THE ROOM] 3/5
On arrival the hotel was clean, very modern and I was quite impressed. We got to our twin bed room and again it was clean, simple yet modern but I noticed firstly that the room was quite compact. The sink/mirror area was pretty much there when you walk in the door. The shower area was a walk in cubicle behind the sink area but with a glass panel as a wall overlooking the bed area with a tinted section which barley covered you from view. Being tall I could easily see the beds from the shower, there was hardly any privacy at all. The toilet was standard and in a small room of its own next to the shower where the door had gaps at the top and bottom, so again no privacy. The beds were very comfy and the house-keeping service was second to none. There was a safe (which you would have to pay for if required) and a mini-bar which was topped up daily with free bottles of water. The balcony area was of reasonable size but again not very private as the dividers allowed a view to neighbouring visitors.

[REVIEW ON THE POOL/BEACH] 3/5
The pool was smaller than I had imagined based on pictures we had seen in the brochures, but it was clean and the surrounding area was where most people gathered on a sunny day. It was a very simple pool area. The beach was very disappointing; it was mainly rubble and had hardly any proper sand which for the first bit of the week had no sun loungers on.

[REVIEW ON HOTEL FOOD] 4/5
The restaurant was very nice and the food was very well presented. Staff were always offering to fill your glass with water and clear your table when finished. Most days we found the same kind of food selections being offered, from chips, wedges, rice, turkey, chicken, veg etc so not much variety, but it was nice food. The quality of the food probably salvaged an otherwise disappointing holiday.

[OVERALL REVIEW] 3/5
Overall I was disappointed with the area we stayed in. Though the hotel was very modern and clean with good food I felt that there was not much to do inside the hotel and in the town because nothing was open/built. Building work really ruined the atmosphere of the holiday but I would say you should definitely go in the prime of the season. Hopefully when it is busier with more going on it would take your mind off the area. We found ourselves very bored for most of the week (the weather was also pretty average). I would also say that the hotel was probably aimed more at couples rather than two blokes. I personally felt out of place.

I feel very misinformed by our travel agent and because of this I will be sending a letter of complaint.
