When we first arrived at the hotel we were all extremely impressed with the decor-it is stunning.A polite and helpful bus boy showed us to our rooms and explained how to use the safety deposit box (which is free but not the easiest to use) and the air con (life saver!).The room was a comfortable size, the shower was huge and everything was very clean. We did not book a sea view but are were not disappointed. We had a view of the main street and mountains and the balcony was a Sun trap after midday. The rest of the hotel was also very clean. The food available is of a wide variety (provided you are not really fussy!). Some days the food was better but this is to be expected.Although the dining hall was always busy we never struggled to find a table. If you don't fancy eating in the main hall at lunch time, the snack bar offers freshly cooked pizza (which is amazing but you have to be quick) chips, chicken, salad etc.We ate here often after spending the day by the beach. The patisserie was to die for!We visited the Mexican alacarte once and it was okay but not amazing. The only complaint I have is about the alcohol that is available.I found the only decent drink was archers and lemonade and the cocktails were a massive let down (but I am not a huge drinker and understand this is an all inclusive hotel!).There is also food/drink available on the private beach which was very handy.Security are constantly monitoring the hotel, but it didn't feel threatening in any way.The entertainment team themselves were all very friendly and were always smiling. But the entertainment itself wasn't too great-but this hotel is not entertainment oriented so I think they did the best they could! The hotel also has its own nightclub-but drinks are only free until midnight! The hotel is in an excellent location between marmaris and icemeler and the local buses are cheap and very easy to use (not to mention handy).
Our Thomas cook rep,Sarah, was lovely and we did organise a few trips. The first was the market trip which was cheap but you didn't have enough time really.Quad biking was amazing but we got absolutely drenched and were not warned of this.If you go you will need a towel,a change of clothes and 2tl for a locker.Photographs are 15tl.The last trip we opted for was dalayan departure. Our return flight was at 4am and we did not want to waste our last day.We were picked up at 7:25am (ouch) and accommodation in dalayan was included.Whilst the trip included food it didn't include drinks which were practically forced upon you at 6tl each.We visited turtle beach and the rep failed to mention that you needed to pay for umbrellas and Sun beds separately. We didn't take money for this and I ended up getting burnt. The mud bath was an experience to!We were told our transfer to the airport would pick us up at 1:15am,however the driver was 40minutes later and very rude.He didn't say one word to us and we were annoyed to say the least.Overall we had a fab time in the resort but more information needs to be given about trips!
