my partner had been on at me to try this restaurant as we had passed it a few times on the way into town; once we tried it we went there every night until the end of our trip.
the first thing you notice that is different about it, is that when looking at the menus you get greeted by the waiter.. then left alone to decide; not heckled like every other place;
the venue is very pretty, upmarket looking and no neon signs like everywhere else; it even had a tv screen to watch whils tyou were waiting.
we found the service very refreshing; the waiters ad owner were very friendly and helpful, it didnt feel like everyone was being nice to you to get a tip. the waiter sounded part english and his english was fantastic;
food: the food here was the best we had tried; okay so it wasnt especially inventive but unlike other places we had tried the food wasnt greasy, there was a good choice, the burgers were proper burgers, we had a lovely steak and mushroom pizza another night, but they do all kinds of food too - not just fast food. the dessert is definitely the thing to go for - we had the brownie, which we still talk about now two months later.
the cost - the price was absolutely fantastic. we paid somewhere around 40 lira (about £20) for two starters, one (large) main course and dessert (we shared) and 2 drinks, and tip. the portions are of good size, not too small and not too big.
the only downside to this place was the service after the meal when we wanted to pay, on two occasions there suddenly seemed to be no one around when we wanted to pay. but over all, great friendly staff, good variety of decent food, for an amazing price in a lovely setting. would recommend to anyone.
