I 'discovered' this place through Sawadays Special places to stay. Arrived late at night and was shown to room by helpful chap who proved to be consistently friendly and helpful for the rest of our short stay.
Perhaps we were a bit early in the season - but the whole place needed a good tidy up. The hotel itself was OK - but the surrounding area needed someone to remove the derelict boat, pick up the litter off the beach & coil up the hose to make it all seem a bit more orderly. The sailing boat promised on the web site was not available.
The bathroom in our room (201) needed a good scrub to brighten it up & discourage the blattaria. Oiling the squeaky doors & fixing the plumbing that 'howled' would be good. The mattress was pretty hard & bouncy (fnurr) and not having to ask for a top sheet would be a bonus. Asking for a room away from the bar area would make your stay quieter at night. The room at the top of the hotel looks an interesting option if you can get that - with its own private sunning area.
On a positive note, this place has great potential. The room aircon worked well and was quiet. The staff were all fantastic - genuinely friendly. The view from the room's (tiny) balcony is good. The garden looks as good as it does on the website - with pretty flowers and shady eucalyptus. Food was fine. 60 Euro a night for the time we went represents reasonable value. There's a Dolmus (minibus) stop right outside the hotel near to the sleepy taxi rank - to take you into the nightmare of Marmaris!
All in all - recommended for a short stay.
