We spent two weeks at this most delightful boutique hotel. At first I was worried that the resort of Gocek would not have enough to keep us occupied but how wrong I was I could have stayed and never returned. I have travelled quite extensively for business and pleasure staying in very nice hotels and I can honestly say this was one of my most favourite hotels. Firstly I think this was due to the family that own the hotel they made us feel like we were part of their family they are so welcoming and can't do enough for you - they go out of their way to make sure that you have everything you need to enjoy your stay. We were lucky enough to stay in one of the suite rooms which was kept spotless each day by the cleaning staff we had a lounge area with a balcony a separate bedroom and a bathroom. All rooms have a fridge which is stocked with drinks and snacks that you can purchase and the bathroom has a hairdryer provided. The rooms also have a television and air conditioning. The hotel has a total of 10 rooms. Breakfast is provided and is served on the terrace by the swimming pool. The breakfast is lovely typically Turkish but with home made jams and produce from their garden. Tea & Coffee is also provided and you are able to purchase fresh orange juice for 6tL Meals are available at lunchtimes and in the evening, you just need to speak to the staff and discuss choices. There is also a bar area to enjoy a nice drink and relax after a hard day sunbathing/sightseeing. The swimming pool is lovely and very comfy sun loungers are provided for the guests with umbrellas for shade if required. The gardens are beautifully kept by the owners and make the whole property feel very tranquil. I won't deny that there is a small amount of traffic noise from the main road but overall it is not too bad. Parking is on the road in front of the hotel - the hotel is situated in a residential area and is approx. a 10-15 minute very easy walk to the town. Bikes are available and as the roads are flat make a very easy 5 minute ride into the centre.

We went on a boat trip which was organised by the hotel round the 12 islands which was a lovely day out and lunch provided with various swimming stops all for 50TL. We also hired a car organised by the hotel for sightseeing trip to Kalkan and Kas which are about a 2-2.5 hour journey. We caught the local dolmus (aided by the staff at the hotel) to Fethiye (approx. 30 mins) and then onto Olu Deniz (approx. 20 mins) very easy journeys.

Gocek is a lovely small town with lots of good restaurants that cater for the large amount of yachting crowds they attract there is a large harbour with fantastic yachts and it is nice to walk down the promenade and admire them. There a number of shops and supermarkets as well as banks and a weekly small market on a Sunday. There are no beaches as such apart from the D Resort which has a sandy beach and you are able to rent sunbeds on a weekday for 60tl each or the weekend 100tl each. You can get a local boat from the harbour which takes you to Gocek island where they have a pebbly beach with sunbeds to rent and a café for drinks and food. There is also a boat to a private beach club where again you can rent sunbeds and they have a restaurant.

I would recommend Gocek for a nice relaxing place with good food and lovely atmosphere.

I can't wait to return to Gocek and to the wonderful hotel I miss my friends as I now think of them and wish I was still there enjoying the hospitality!!!

Our flight was pushed back, which meant we would land after midnight, and rather than drive through to Kalkan, we decided to spend the night at the Arion Hotel in Gocek, not least because it was on our way, less than half an hours drive from Dalaman airport and just off the main road and so easy to find.
We arrived eventually, at about 2.30 in the night, to find the owner's son waiting by the gate for us! We were shown our bedroom which turned out to be a mini-suite, simply but quite adequately furnished. We asked till when breakfast (which was included in the price) would be available, the young man said, "normally 10 or 10.30, but since you have arrived so late, do not worry, you will find us waiting for you. Have a good rest."
The next morning was brilliant: sunshine and warm and the pool large and inviting below our balcony. We went down, and there indeed, was breakfast waiting for us on the lawn besides the pool. What a breakfast! As well as the traditional Turkish offerings of cheeses, olives and bread, there were fresh pain au chocolat, croissant and more, as well as juicy fruits, mostly from the garden itself: berries, oranges, peaches and apricots. The highlight for me was the "simit" the hard dough-ring smothered in sesame seeds such as I had not tasted since my time in Turkey as a student in the 1960s! Nowadays, even if you can find simit, they are the soft, cake-like variety, unable to withstand the heat or the cold and being carried around stuffed in one's pockets. But wait, there was more: real jam! Not only home made jams, but that other, near-extinct Turkish breakfast classic, the delicate pink "gul receli" made from roses and smelling of them too....no commercial, bottled varieties here!
Endless refills of fresh tea, coffee and an attentive but discreet owner and her family in attendance, on hand to exchange pleasantries, gossip and information, meant that our stay threatened to stretch to lunch time...
We left refreshed and ready to face the world. If only all hotel stop-overs were like this!

I had a wonderful stay in this hotel. I liked everything: very warm welcome; the owners are very friendly and attentive (supported me greatly in arrangement of a sea trip, airport transfer and provided all information I needed!); homish light rooms, spit and polish; deliscious turkish breakfast with homemade jams (rose petal, blackberry, apricot..), juicy fruits from the owners' garden; well-groomed outdoor territory with lots of flowers and fruit trees and of course with a very nice swimming pool.
The hotel is a bit far from the center (the hotel provides free bicycles), but I really enjoyed walking along the Gocek flowery streets. And of course that wonderful background view - mountains! Amazing!
Cocek is the perfect place for laid back and peaceful living. If you are looking for peace and quiet Gocek is an ideal place for you.

Warm friendly owners and so accomodating, spacious rooms with a fabulous outdoor pool and eating area. I have never been made to feel more welcome than at the Arion hotel...I love this place. It is a little out of the main area of Gocek but the mountain in the background and walk to and from is well worth it.

Room Tip: It is a small boutique hotel so all rooms would be good.
