“A dangerous beauty”
Reviewed September 26, 2012

The water is freeze as the sun doesn't penetrate the water but it's worthy swimming and walk trough the canyons to see the beauty of the place. But, make sure you bring a submersible shoes as the place is full of mud and stones. Besides, to "fight" against the water flow there is a need to dress appropriately. Don't make the same mistake that I did: bring a waterproof camera.

“Seeing is believing”
Reviewed September 24, 2012

It's no wonder this is a top attraction, this place is amazing! Our party spent the day on a Jeep Safari ( a fantastic days entertainment in itself). Do bring some money with you as there is a small charge to enter. Also take some neoprene type shoes, the current is initialy strong & some of the rocks are a little slippery. We had a great day out Alibaba Jeep Safari - if you don't mind getting a soaking! Not to be missed.

“saklikent gorge”
Reviewed September 24, 2012

a beautiful natural attraction.....we went as part of a jeep safari excursion.
We went last year at the weekend, which gets very busy, this year we went on a weekday and was defo quieter.
The gorge itself has very fast flowing water ,although there is now a rope across the water to help with this .The water is freezing but very refreshing in the high temps of the summer months.
Well worth a visit.

“A must see & do”
Reviewed September 23, 2012

We were staying in Ovacik, near Hisaronu and hired a car for the day to go to Saklikent gorge. It took us just over an hour to get here and when we arrived we wasn't sure if we were actually walk through ! After hanging around for a while, we decided we would do and so I hired some shoes and we paid the entrance fee which was 10tl. We walked around the bridge to the area were it starts. We were offered some help to get across but I imagine the young boys charge you for that! We manged to get down the very slippy wet rocks and into the cold water. The water came up to the top of my legs and it is very cold and the current is very strong, but this only lasts for about 10ft and once you pass through that, then you are away. The walk through was amazing. Most of the time there is water to walk through but it is only ankle deep. You do have to climb a little over some rocks, but it was fun. We walked to the waterfall, which was amazing to see, then walked back, where again you have to walk through the deep cold water, to then climb back up the rocks. Very glad we did this and I would recommend it to anyone. Your picture is taken as you first wade through the water, which is optional for you to buy when you leave, we bought ours, it cost 5tl. A fun day out.

“Well worth the trip.”

Take the local bus from the Fethiye bus station. It takes you right there. Canyon is awesome. Walk about 15 minutes into it and there is a awesome waterfall.
