“Beautiful View”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 29, 2012

We were upgraded to a suite on arrival, for no reason.

The marina was a few meters from our balcony. I would rate the room as average, but the views are excellent. The spa was also amazing. The breakfast was excellent as well.

We stayed in Fethiye for 2 nights, and spent the majority of our time exploring the area. The hotel needs to focus on enhancing the services. I also suggest it would be an excellent place for those who are looking for bed, breakfast and an AMAZING view and spa.

The hotel is situated right at the Marina in Fethiye. So it is an amazing location, with all the yachts and power boats to see. Fethiye town is 5 minute stroll away but the hotel location is quiet. The food was very very good, a varied choice too. Breakfast is served on the roof terrace, with the Marina as a backdrop. Evening meals are served outside, again with the Marina creating a great atmosphere. The staff at the hotel were always very friendly and helpful, always willing to help and offer advice. We stayed in a suite on the third floor. Plenty of room with a huge bed and three small balconies,as the suite was situated at the end of the building ( room 316 ) excellent. The only criticism I have is that the outside facade of the building is in need of some TLC , plaster work is crumbling in places. We did not use the spa but other guests were full of praise for it. My wife and I will most certainly return.

We have recently returned from the Ece Saray in Fethiye and cannot speak too highly of the place and the staff. A totally different setting to your usual hotel with breathtaking views. The food is excellent and the service first rate. For breakfast you dine on the Breakfast Terrace which is situated on the top of the hotel in the open air.with fantastic views of the marina, sea, and mountains . Dinner also outside on the broad- walk. Candlelit, and for the younger section very romantic. Most evenings you order the main course from the waiter and it is freshly cooked.
A very pleasant bar is situated also on the broadwalk. It is a pleasant walk to the town and the many boat trips which are very reasonable and enjoyable. We stumbled across this hotel while looking for a holiday in Turkey and really did not know what to expect but if I tell you that we met a great number of really well travelled people during our stay and without exception they say would and will stay there again it says it all. Needless to say we will endeaver to book early for next year hoping we will not be beaten to it. A great experience.

Room Tip: Most rooms have bath with shower attachments however my wife is disabled and they gave us a ground f...

We visited the hotel for one week during October 2012.
The hotel is 32 years old and was completely refurbished and enlarged 11 years ago. It is very conveniently located at the marina. There are 48 rooms (14 of these are suites) and all except 4 face the sea, with a spectacular view over the marina and the sea to the mountains beyond. Rooms are on 3 levels (ground (level 1) - first floor (level 2) - second floor (level 3) and the view from level 2 & 3 is better. Breakfast is served on the top floor which has an open terrace area, There is a good choice of cooked breakfast that is waiter served. There is a local bus that will stop just outside the hotel and access to the town is a 5 minute level walk. We usually stay B&B, but the half board addition is good value with a good menu and waiter service.
Would we stay here again - YES

Room Tip: Level 2 & 3 for a better view, and a suite is worth the extra.

We spent a week at the Hotel but would have liked it to be longer. The Hotel was perfect for us yes there are some minor issues but they didn't detract from having a lovely Holiday. The rooms are nicely decorated and spacious enough with decent storage space there are very good block out curtains. The rooms are mostly to the front so have lovely views over the Marina and beyond. The bathrooms have everything you need with a good shower although clean, the grouting and bath sealer needs replacing due to mould, I never understand why Hotels don't do this as it is such an easy job to do. The towels are a good size and quality. Our room was directly under the breakfast terrace so there was the sound of chairs being dragged along the floor from 7.30 am , not a problem for us as we wake early. The breakfast room is on the top floor so has lovely views, the selection is good, but the orange juice is squash! The breakfast staff need to get their act together, and natter less. The hot breakfast is cooked fresh however there is a strange arrangement where you get your cooked breakfast immediately without a chance to have your cereal. Beware those with walking difficulties, the lift doesn't go to the Breakfast terrace. The public areas are nicely decorated with plenty of quiet area to sit, there is free Wi-if throughout the Hotel. The pool is a great size and very clean, but very cold. The sun-beds are the most comfortable ever with very helpful pool staff. There is a bar where you can get your own drinks and snacks. The prices are okay. Unlike the spa treatments which are expensive for Turkey, I had a Turkish Bath which was 30 euro and only 10 euro in the town. The Hotel is positioned only a 10 minute walk through the Marina. We had B&B because we like getting out and about, but those that had Half Board said it was a very good deal. The holiday makers here were mostly more mature guests, I don't think this Hotel is suitable for families with young children as there are no facilities and it is nice to go somewhere where your peace isn't interrupted by screams.

Room Tip: If you want a room on the third floor choose one not under the breakfast terrace.

Visited ece saray three times now and love it more each time. Location, staff, and hotel manager faultless. Clean bedding and towels everyday. Food quality excellent, portions more than adequate considering the extra large plates food was served on. All in all fab, we will be back.

This was our first visit to Turkey and the Ece Saray; what more can one say? This is just a fabulous hotel, not OTT, set right on the waterfront overlooking the marina with the MOST amazing array of craft to view, made even better by the most perfect weather we enjoyed!

We were only at the Ece Saray for a week, too short, our room was on the third floor overlooking the marina and from the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we could not fault anything! Our room, our meals, the staff, who were the most polite and friendly people I have encountered, more than obliging, nothing was too much trouble, a pleasure to be with!

We were on half board, which was great value; super breakfasts to "get one going", sometimes a snack by the pool at lunchtime, then the evening "repast" overlooking the marina! What an array of meze starters, followed by the "main event", one evening we entertained two friends, who were absolutely amazed at what we all consumed!

Would we go back? You bet, but for longer!
