Love this museum. It's cool (v important) quiet and you are surrounded by the most stunning artefacts. Spent hours drawing and drying out...

“Nice little museum”
Reviewed October 30, 2013

Hard to find even with a map as the streets dont seem to have signs on them, worth a visit if you can find it but disappointing that neither staff on duty spoke or understood a word of English.

“Find it if you can!”
Reviewed October 29, 2013 via mobile

This is an unprepossessing museum and quite well hidden away. The museum itself is small and took us less than 45 minutes to cover but does have some incredible artifacts in it.

“Interesting local museum”
Reviewed September 20, 2013

Fethiye has a very small (two rooms, plus quite a number of stone artifacts in the gardens) museum highlighting the history of Lycia from early (Bronze age) times through to the Ottoman period. Exhibits are from random finds and from various archeological digs at Tlos, Canaus, and other Lycian sites.

Most of the larger stone items (statuary, sarcophagi, etc) are from the Roman period, but there are smaller exhibits (pottery and other portable items) from much earlier. English signage is reasonable, and includes a fair bit of context.

Entry is only 5 Lira, so well worth checking out.

There was small museum in Fethiye. I like museum in city museum, so I visited there. Museum size was small but many exhibits was displayed inside and outside. Because of small size, some poeple disappointed, but I satisfied this museum.
