We called in The Mulberry Tree one lunchtime for a bite to eat. The menu is a mix of Turkish and English as stated. The order was taken from a table that had arrived after us but was obviously a regular. We ordered a liver shish kebab and a cheese pide plus drinks. Our drinks arrived in good time but we waited along time for our food. I know that they were made to order but it was a long wait. During our wait it was noted that this seems to be a popular eating establishment for the expat community as not only were there a number in eating but also a number of them called to use the toilet facilities. It was also noted that the daily lunchtime special of cheesy bubble and squeak with salad and chips sold out very quickly.
Our food arrived and it was OK. Nothing too memorable. Another couple had waited quite a long time for their food which was only a sandwich and they had to ask for two slices of cake that they had ordered as they had been waiting a long time.
The staff were quite sullen and were more interested in speaking with the expats than with anybody else.
Not a place for the tourists and it is at the junction of two busy roads so quite a lot of exhaust fumes and noise.
