We stayed in the hotel for 7 day it we so amazing I could not doubt it. We got there are night time and we transferred into a taxi at a deserted petrol station we all did not know what to expect but when we got there we were greeted and are bags were carried to out rooms and we went straight to bed. The next 2 days it was so hot it melted my flip flops and we got so tanned. The restaurants were so amazing and we special liked the al a cart restaurant where there was so much to choose from. The beach is amazing specially the water slides they were great fun. The only thing that was bad it that I got stung by a jelly fish but the showers on the beach were so cold it did not hurt. We had a great time on the peddle o and Kano and the people were so nice there. The Poole is great and the cocktails were amazing specially the CRAZY FROG. The disco at night we ok if you like the dancing thing. The only thing i would to advise you if you want to get the boat over to the shops and it is a hot day DONT we went over there and where so hot and hydrated we lucky and managed to get the same boat back we just could not stand it. We would really like to go back there again best holiday been on so far!!!!!!!

Room Tip: get one near the beach there is alot of steps

We stayed here in April 2011 for 7 days with our 2 year old son and the in laws. We booked it as the in laws had been there 4 times before as they loved it that much. I have to say we were not dissapointed.
The location is absolutely stunning as the resort is set on the peninsula. There are amazing views, the numerous beaches are spotlessly clean, and the 3/4 pools are also very nice with ample towels and beds provided.
As the resort is on the peninsula the only people on the resort are the holidaymakers who have booked to stay there so it has a very "safe" feel.
The staff were always helpful and the resteraunts were always clean and had plenty of choice. The bar staff were always numerous and you rarely had to queue for a drink.
I have read the bad reviews about this place and cannot believe some people.I would like to perhaps clarify some of the "bad" points.

1 Steps- Yes there are plenty of steps here but there are lifts and well lit walkways. We had our son in a push chair and we had no problems. The resort brochure clearly states there are lots of steps, but they do have accomodation for people on the lower levels of the resort who may have genuine mobility issues or for people who are just fat lazy pigs!!
The steps are a trade off for the scenery that you can view and the private location. If your idea of a holiday is stepping out of your grey concrete tower block onto a square pool, then this is not the place for you.
2. Food - The food was always hot and plentiful with plenty of choice and always a table free. If you go on holiday to have a full english every morning followed by burger and chips and then to "the old red lion" at night then avoid this place. The food is varied and continental in style and from all parts of the world. Variety is the spice of life. If your kids live on pot noodles and chicken nuggets stay away. The food is typically Turkish, after all you are in Turkey!!!The uncultured will not like the food as there taste buds will probably never ventured further than KFC! Even though the food is mostly Turkish I found the food to be of excellent quality and tasty,my 2 year old loved it too.The bread ,olives, cheese, fish, meat provided were sublime.
People have whinged about cats ,believe it or not they have them in Turkey too!! There were a couple of cats but they never bothered us and yes there were birds flying around the semi open air resteraunt!! (God forbid!!) but this just added to the ambience and al fresco dining experience. You can pay extra for the a la carte but we did not bother as we did not see the need to.
3.Rooms- some people have said there dated!! They are bungalow/hut type villas that are set all around the peninsula surrounded by fragrant jasmine plants. Yes they are not uber modern but are consistent with the location and style of the resort. They were always well cleaned with fresh linen and the fridge stocked with water. That is all Im after as I do not go on holiday to sit in my room and inspect the decor! Clean ,neat ,clean and tidy is all u need and they are.
4. Drinks- the local drinks are fine, yes the wine isnt too clever but then if not your cup of tea drink something else, thers plenty of choice! You do not get a pint it is more like a scuna but so what you can always get another one! If your idea of a good time is getting so hammered you cant see then stick to Benidorm .If you whinge that its not brought to you on a silver platter you might want to be wheeled to the pool in your bed perhaps!?!?!

So all in all a fantastic place, if you like a bit of culture, have an open mind and palate and just dont want to get hammered every night and are after a safe, relaxing holiday then this is the place. We have booked for another 10 nights in Oct this year (2011)

Ignore the bad reviews you only have to look at the grammar and spelling used to to get a measure of these people and what there expectations of a holiday are

just back from letoonia, this being our 3rd time, and it was as alovely as the first time we went, we took our family with us this time three grandchildren 11,9,4 years of age and they had a fab time, the two older ones when off and met new friends and we hardly saw them, and the youngest loved the kids club and beach, as soon as you arrive you relax straight away, the gardens are well kept, gardeners are also attending them, the food is plentiful, and kept really lovely and clean. We cannot wait to go back again next year.

Having just returned from our 2nd trip to Letoonia all I can say is Fab Fab Fab... We had a lovely hotel room this time with a fantastic pool view and a brilliant shower!! Room was spotlessly cleaned daily. Food was plentiful and varied, we have 4 fussy children and they all managed to eat! Drinks we good and contrary to previous reviews we never had a problem getting served..good manners gets you a long way... If drinking shorts I would recommend asking for the spirit and mixer separately. Lots of new sunbeds this year and bean bags on the beach are a lovely touch..last but not least the entertainment team were top notch..the shows are brilliant and something for everyone..the daytime activities around the club pool are really good and they create a great atmosphere..We will return!

Arrived back from letoonia 2 days ago-myself, husband and 2 children age 13 1nd 11 had the best time. We had requested a low level room upon arrival we were allocated ground floor family room in hotel-although a little dated it was extremley clean. All staff friendly, attentive and very hardworking-our cleaner even taught us some more phrases in Turkey. The views are stunning-sitting at Panorama restaurant and Moonlight I cant emphasise enough how spectacular the views are-the food is great-entertainment staff work very hard during the day and evening-the eve shows in the theatre are amazing-had to buy the Adams family show it was so good-returning next year for a wedding cant wait-cant believe I have to wait so long to return though, cant ever imagine going anywhere else for my holidays it was just spectacular x

Room Tip: Problem with steps request a low level room

Arrived home yesterday after a wonderful stay at amazing Letoonia. I now understand their tag line of 'Once Letoonia, Always Letoonia'. It just feels so welcoming, you feel at home as soon as you arrive.

Unlike other glorified 'theme park' style 5 star hotels across Turkey - those that are the 'toddlers' of the industry cutting their teeth and somewhat pertaining to be what they aren't; Letoonia is like a mature 25 year old who knows exactly who they are, what they want to achieve, what they want to offer - and aren't going to make apologies for it. Indeed, they shouldn't.

The setting is truly stunning. Just panorama from every angle - Fethiye, mountains (even snow capped ones!) and glorious vegetation - not to mention the beautiful sea and coastline. Whoever designed Letoonia in the 80's had a very clear vision of what they wanted to achieve. I truly believe they fulfilled that vision in every way. Like a comfortable pair of slippers you slip into this holiday and relax immediately.

We'd emailed the hotel prior to arrival and they accomodated our request perfectly! We were in a top floor room with a huge balcony affording stunning views. The room was a good size for us and our two sons - the bathroom was maybe a tad on the small size - maybe not enough clothes hangers/wardrobe space - but the views made up for this and more!

We arrived in the early hours of the morning, so when we ventured down to breakfast we were so excited to see the wonderful setting!! Flora in abundance, so prettily planted to make you feel you were in a real paradise setting. The whole complex just seemed peaceful, even though it was busy with half term guests, as it is stretched over quite a sizeable area. This set the theme for the whole holiday.

The food here is great. Definitely comparable with other 5 star hotels in Turkey - fab selection and the waiters were always smiling and cheery (especially with our cheeky monkey of a 3 yr old!). The Moonlight restaurant of an evening is a must. You feel as if you've walked to a restaurant for an evening out - great views and so relaxing watching the boats passing by. One of the highlights.

Although the shows aren't my cup of tea, my husband took our 8yr old to a few - they really enjoyed them. The animation team is quite subtle in comparison to some All Inclusive resorts. You don't get the booming noise over the loud speakers constantly inviting you to participate in a Mr Muscle contest!!

Our 8yr old son took part in a few organised activities, but mainly chose to spend the time on Dolphin Beach (gorgeous!) with his newly found friends, swimming and enjoying the slides into the sea. We would go down at 10.30am and not return until at least 6pm! We ate in the snack bar here every day (although the main buffet restaurants offered the full gammut of meals) as it was easier, tasty and relaxing! The staff here were fab too! Even our 3yr old allowed us to spend up to 1.5hrs having dinner! Unheard of!

A whole range of water sports was on offer - with young kids we just opted for the pedalo. However many chose windsurfing, canoeing, sailing etc.

The wine wasn't the best quality, but ok and fairly drinkable. The beer was great. We went through the cocktail list by the end of the holiday - ultimately the drinks and bar staff were good. The 'square' of an evening was lovely - there was also a hot beverage station with gorgeous teas and coffees to help yourself to. We enjoyed the band/singers on the stage before the shows.

I could go on, but I'd only bore you (if you're not already bored)!!! Suffice to say that this is one of the best holidays we've had - and that's saying something - as a previous poster, before kids we've stayed in top quality hotels around the World. This is in my top 5 holiday destinations. We historically NEVER go back to the same place twice. However, we are excited that we are returning next year!!!

In summary: one hell of a place to relax, enjoy great views, spend time as a family and soak up the culture and hospitality of this great country.

Room Tip: Email the hotel in advance with your requirements.
