“An excellent stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 8, 2013

We have recently returned from a very enjoyable stay at the Yacht Classic, This was our first visit to Turkey and we selected the hotel on the basis of the Trip Advisor reviews and we were not disappointed, Room was spacious and spotlessly clean, with a nice sitting area and huge bathroom. Staff were very efficient and the food was of a high standard and evening meals were similarly priced to the other restaurants we visited in Fethiye.
What makes the hotel so delightful is its setting, right on the waters edge and sitting either dining, resting in the comfortable chairs or by the pool on a lounger, the marina views are wonderful and the array of activity of boats arriving and departing was most enjoyable.
Fethiye town is an easy 10 minute walk, offering a good choice of cafes and restaurants, lively markets and shops and a very pretty marina. Getting around is also easy, by road (dolmus) or water taxi and inexpensive.
Notable restaurants we visited were Iskele, Oztoklu (in the fish market) and Mozaik Bahce, which fully justifies its rating and serves delicious authentic dishes from Hatay province in eastern Turkey.
Returning to the hotel, I must make mention of Rose, who I had spoken to regarding booking a restaurant table on the waters edge during our stay for my wife's birthday. This was duly agreed and then Rose arranged both flowers and a birthday cake, along with warm wishes and an impromptu 'Happy Birthday' rendition from the staff and Hatice proved to be an enthusiastic singer and willing photographer, for which we were very grateful. We were also very impressed with the reception manager (but sadly did not get his name).
Previous reviewers have commented regarding the proximity of the mosque to the hotel and whilst this was audible, it was not an issue.
In summary, it is easy to see why so many guests return to the hotel and we are likely to join the list.
Many thanks to all at the Yacht Classic for making our stay such an enjoyable one.

Outstanding! We were pleasantly surprised by our huge room with 2 bedrooms, and a big attached balcony. Add to that, our first morning's breakfast was a well-stocked buffet with the option to order your special pancakes or eggs. I found the staff - although most of them had a very limited grasp of English - to be friendly & helpful.

The hotel is located within easy walking distance of Fethiye's restaurants & marinas. The front desk staff were helpful & informative when we asked for restaurant suggestions & directions on getting to local attractions.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area!

I highly recommend this hotel. It has a resort feel with two pools, pool bar and ample lounge chairs at the pool or facing the marina. The breakfasts were great - including eggs cooked to your liking and pancakes.
Our family of five had two sea view rooms with lovely balconies to sit on to soak up the view.
It is in a quiet area but an easy 10 min walk to the town centre.
We loved it so much we found ourselves lazying around the pool more than planned!
We ate at the hotel restaurant twice for dinner and enjoyed the food, service and ambience overlooking the yachts.
We stayed for four nights and loved everything about the Yacht Classic.

We were very disappointed with our visit this year. The food was fine but the service with no smile was not. We have dined at this hotel/restaurant on many occasions over the past 3 years and could not believe how the service had changed. None of the waiters smiled, they took plates from us before we were finished, shouted across the tables to other waiters and were generally rather rude by the lack of acknowledgement towards diners.

We got the feeling that the staff were very condescending. No one spoke to us and almost everyone ignored us though we went down for breakfast both the days. Or may be it was us.

We booked this place through Booking.com as we found the price to be very reasonable. I think that all hotels pass off their worst rooms for a low price in Booking.com since it also happened to us elsewhere in Turkey.

Our room was supposed to be non-smoking and a clear sign to this effect was posted in the room but the room reeked of cigarette smell. And the bathroom smelt of drainage. The person at the reception didn't seem surprised when I complained about it. He was the one who switched our room in the last minute when we checked in (I should have gotten his name!). He certainly didn't do anything about it. And to top it off, when we checked out, he tried to charge me for an extra night although the hotel took one night's rental off my credit card three days prior to our arrival there (probably due to their cancellation policy). He said that he found no evidence of the charge in his records. He relented only when I showed him the notification email from my credit card company.

Generally a bad experience in an otherwise very friendly town. I have nothing against Fethiye though this stay soured my experience with the place.

Room Tip: Don't fall for low prices in Booking.com. I am sure there are better hotels in Fethiye.

We thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing stay at this hotel. We needed to unwind and from breakfast watching the fish in the Marina until an evening nightcap in the balmy sunshine relax we did. There were plenty of loungers around the sparkling clean pool, although it was very busy on Saturday when the flotillas seem to change their occupants. Most of the time though we had the pool to ourselves. We had a great week, with a trip out every morning. Local transport is cheap and easy. Every afternoon we had a couple of lazy hours at the pool. We felt our experience was very different from the large resorts. We booked late and had no choice of rooms. Our room had a magnificent view but If returning I would upgrade the room as it was a little small. It was however excellent value. Fethiye is a nice little town with good restaurants, which IMO retains some Turkish atmosphere

Room Tip: Definitely worth paying a little for an upgrade
