The hotel in general is OK. Good breakfast, perfect swimming pool and nice views. My room was a little bit decrepit, but comfy. Far from city center.

This is a very nice hotel with beatiful rooms and views, a lovely terrace and swimming pool.

The only negative aspect is that it is a little too far from the center of Fethiye, but if you don't mind walking or have a car, there is no problem.

I would return to this hotel.

If you are looking for a clean, basic, friendly hotel this is for you!

The breakfast was typically continental but fulfilling with fresh boiled eggs, bread, meats, cheeses and 1 type of cereal, which changed during the week. Food at the hotel was ok but expensive compared to restaurants in town. I had a Gin & Tonic but it didn't taste like gin and although they changed it without fuss, it still didn't taste like gin - and expensive enough - but that is usually the same in hotels compared to bars and pubs.

There were some children at the hotel but it is not ideal for young children due to the pool depth and not really a lot for them to do but as our children weren't with us it didn't affect us.

The bedrooms were clean and fresh with en-suite shower room. There was an aircondition unit so it was wonderfully cool every time we returned to the room. There is also a t.v. whichh has 1 English channel - BBC World so we could keep up with the news whilst away.

The pool was seldom full but be aware that that it is the same depth from one end to another - 1.5 metres deep. My mother can swim but would only swim with a float since she is too short to stand so it is not recommended for nervous swimmers or non-swimmers. The sunbeds were great and many umbrellas around to shade you.

The staff were 100% although the lady on reception was the friendliest, I think her name is Gule Gule. The young lad who cleaned the pool was great fun and hosed us down in the pool with freezing water - our retaliation was to throw him in fully clothed. He took it in his stride and had even removed his shoes so I think he was expecting it - we had a lot of fun with him during the week.

It was my wedding anniversary during the week and they had made our bed with fresh flowers strewn all around and towels moulded into 4 hearts with flowers. It was such a surprise and a lovely gesture.

The reception area has a large flat screen t.v. but some tables and chairs and we were able to play cards some evenings with the airconditioner on.

The harbour is across the road and a beautiful view. The Dolmus bus is frequent and will hoot its horn and you can jump on for 1 Turkish lira. Down town is the main section of the harbour where all the restaurants are. There is an English owned karaoke bar called Peaches where we had a lot of fun. Mike is the owner and was very friendly. Zekis was great with their clay pots kebabs but a little expensive in comparison.

There is also a Carrefour supermarket near the harbour where we were able to buy drinks cheaply but no fridge in the bedroom. However the hotel said we could store some water in their fridge if we asked them. Opposite the supermarket is a Fast Food cafe called Mangal. They serve the nicest Chicken doner kebabs in flat sesame buns and huge burgers. They are so cheap especially if you only want something light before eating at night.

At the harbour we booked 3 separate trips with George & Muho from Pennes Cruises. We had a brilliant time with them and they were cheap compared to other tour operators - only 30 lira per person - but we had to barter. The trip around the islands was fantastic. We all swam in the clear waters and relaxed on the boats. The great thing about this boat was that it was not overcrowded and the food was good. There is also a huge market on a Tuesday and is better than the Sunday market advertised as a tour.

The trip to Dalyan and the mud bath was a great experience and a lot of fun. The highlight of our trip was visiting Saklikent the 2nd largest gorge in Europe. It was our last day and was fantastic. We visited Tlos (tombs carved in the mountains) and the water at the gorge was freezing but very welcoming. The hotel allowed us an extension on our room for £20 so we could shower and change to return on the 3.30am flight. When we booked the trip it was funny because the Thomas Cook coach turned up - so if you know of a recommended operator at the harbour front you can save money.

The only trip we couldn't make was Ephesus and the Springs since it is an overnight trip and Thomas Cook only do it Wed & Thurs and since we were flying back early Thurs morning we missed it. However other people in the hotel recommend it and said it was fantastic if you can do it. I would have also loved to have taken the Jeep Safari since it looked fun and came highly recommended. Dress appropriately though since it is a bit of a rough ride - not for the fragile or image conscious :)

All in all it was a fantastic holiday and I would definitely recommend the town and the hotel. I probably won't re-visit Fethiye soon since there are other places of interest in Turkey which have also been recommended i.e Bodrum but I will definitely go back one day.
