“A good bet in Fethiye.”

We just returned from a trip to Turkey and spent one night in the Villa Daffodil prior to embarking on a gulet cruise. We chose this hotel based on other reviews and found the room we stayed in (on the top floor with a balcony) to be clean and simple. The restaurant and bar had a lovely staff. In a town where it seems a little bit difficult to find top quality lodging, I would definitely recommend this hotel - especially if you are, like we were, planning to do a cruise (the location cannot be beat).

My husband and I stayed at the Villa Daffodil for 3 nights in May and really enjoyed it. We already had a booking to stay overnight when we go out in July this year but decided last minute (literally!) to go out over the May Day weekend and booked the hotel with 18 hours notice. As we were arriving at 5.00am, we were a little concerned the reservation wouldn't have been made but we received a lovely welcome and were shown to a small but well decorated room with good facilities overlooking the bay. The room had a hairdryer, air con and safe (no charge) but tea/coffee facilities would have been appreciated. We weren't staying on a 'holiday' so had no time to try out the pool or restaurant but both looked impressive. The grounds and the bar area were adorned with shrubs and flowers and looked pretty and welcoming. The hotel is set in a quiet area of Fethiye with little traffic noise and was a great location with a dolmus in Fethiye town available from just outside the hotel.
We are very much looking forward to staying here again in July.

First time here, but will come again. great setting, just far enough from the town, great location with views of the bay and boatyard. The staff of Ahmed and co.were brilliant,
wonderful terrace and bar area, good size swimming pool, where the sun shines all day.
Typical Turkish style breakfast, Rooms a bit on the small side, but ok for a week.
Overall, i would recommend the Daffodil an ideal place to stay in Fethyie.

We really liked Villa Daffodil both for its location and for its staff. The staff seemed to warm up over the days we were there and were really helpful throughout our stay. The location is wonderful, just down the street from the main tourist part of town. Restaurant was good, too!

We arrived in the middle of the night to find the hotel had double booked our room and they then walked us (two women) by torchlight to the hotel's Boat where we stayed for the rest of the night.
The hotel refused to accept responsibility, blaming anyone from the airport to tour operators. We had a confirmation/booking voucher and they acknowledged this, but still it was not their fault!
On speaking to a Turkish neighbour of the hotel, he informed us this was a common occurence.
We did haggle and got, free air-conditioning to compensate for our 'lost night' but when you arrive after a 12 hr journey all you want is your bed.
The staff were grumpy to all guests (not at all typical of the Turkish people) and I would not recommend anyone to stay here!

  • Liked — Nice View over bay
  • Disliked — Staff not friendly and quite a distance to the resort.

We stayed at the hotel for two nights and that was enough. On reception we were met by a rather surly guy who had very little English and was most unhelpful. When we arrived in our room we found that it didn't have any soap in the bathroom or shampoo etc, we have come to expect this however in many of the hotels. We had to ask for soap and were told my friend will bring, it arrived a few hours later! The rooms are very small but have charming porches. The bathroom was mouldy in places and needed a good scrub. Cafe Yes down the road serves very nice lunch food right on the Ocean.

  • Liked — Close proximity to Fethyie
  • Disliked — Unhelpful staff, mouldy bathroom

We had a brief stay at Daffodil prior to leaving on a Gulet cruise. Room was generic but clean. Hot water not consistent, but good A/C system and sweet balcony overlooking pool/garden.

Turkish style self service breakfast offered on patio. Good for one or two days, but small selection would be tiresome over a long stay.

Nice, clean pool with deck chairs for lounging.

Hotel is across the street from small harbour and a 15-20 minute walk from town centre. Shopping and dining in town centre (not too much near hotel). However, hotel has a bar and serves food.
