“Excellent Resort. Terrific Holiday.”
Reviewed June 28, 2013

Just got back from two weeks at Hillside. Wonderful holiday in a resort with great facilities in a wonderfully scenic location. Plenty to do with or without kids. Sea was gorgeous and the pool facilities were superb. Staff without exception were helpful, courteous and efficient.

I suspect we will return, I certainly hope so.

Room Tip: Rooms closer to beach level may get residual noise from some evening activities

Just returned from an 8 day break at Hillside, and it was wonderful!
Nestled on its own private beach, surrounded by pine clad hills, it is stunningly pretty. The sea is crystal clear turquoise, and there are ample sun beds (with comfy thick canvas covered mattresses - so no uncomfortable sweaty sunbathing!) both on the beach, and around the large pool.
The main restaurant has an amazing array of items, many cooked fresh at the station, ie grilled fish, steaks, stir fry, on the dessert counter I counted over 40 differing items at lunch time! The shows performed by the Dancers are wonderful, as we're the beach party, and the full moon party we attended. There are lots of activities to do if you want, and lots to keep children amused too. Room was excellent, with a beautiful view over the bay from the verandah, which has a couch to really help enjoy the view! Fethiye town is about 15 mins away and has lots of life, shops, and restaurants along the seafront. There is a shuttle bus. All the staff are excellent, helpful and friendly, and take time to chat and make you feel really welcome.
We went with grown up 'kids' and we all had a great time!
Learned Archery, learned to 'Cha Cha (thanks Roman!) wife and daughter learned to 'Belly Dance' (thanks Grace)

Room Tip: Quiet room in the '400' block (and 300) are further from the main pool, but are very restful...

Just back from 12 nights in what everyone described as paradise....but it really is. The staff can't do enough for you, the food is amazing ... there is no pressure to join in the games, aquafit, boules, volleyball...etc., but they pass the day and you meet people from all over the world just there, like you, to relax, have a drink and enjoy the fun in the sun. The rooms are spotless, as are the grounds and they must have the cleanest poolside toilets I've ever experienced. Every detail is thought of by the management and guest relations team.

The shows in the evening were excellent...performed by the annimation team - a troupe of 15 professional dancers .. my favourite was Wizard of Oz, but they were all equally entertaining so I shouldn't really single out just one. The same friendly annimation team are out chatting to the guests and running the daytime activities 6 days a week. I sampled the Sanda Spa traditional 1 hour massage treatment...so relaxing. We sunbathed at the silent beach, the serenity beach and the platoons - all just for adults - bliss!! But we also enjoyed our time around the pool listening to the laughter of the children and their families. We took a canoe out in the bay; went on a half day boat trip; enjoyed the experience of the Big Box Party night; and live entertainment in the Abaco bar and at the beach bar; a film on the beach at night; party night at Pasha. I won champagne one day at bingo and shared it with a German/Turkish couple and another day with two Belgian ladies. There is so much to do, or nothing if that's what you want. There was plenty for families with various clubs provided all day for infants to teens.

Only 1 downside for me, and a minor one at that, was the pebble beach. We took rubber beach shoes and they were great to walk into the sea, but you could walk out on the jetty and into the sea without touching the pebbles too.

I can't praise the place and the staff enough...just wish I could afford to go back tomorrow!!!

Room Tip: Rooms in block 100 are near the bar, restaurant and ampitheatre, then 200, 300 and 400 spread around...

Stayed for 1 week in June with my wife for a relaxing holiday.

This hotel is perfect for relaxing as a couple as there are 2 very peaceful beaches which are adult only. We also found it quite relaxing around by the lovely pool area later in the afternoon even though there was lots of families and children around.

I would also recommend this hotel for families with young children as the facilities were fantastic.

The food in the main Restuarant was a very high standard and so much choice.

I could only find a very minor fault at this hotel - sometimes you had to wait in line for some foods in the buffet but over all the service, food and quality of the hotel was faultless and fantastic value for money.

I stayed here at the very end of last year's season (15 - 24 October) with my parents and it was amazing. First, the hillside location is beautiful and there are three private beaches, two just for adults and with deck islands also set out in the sea. You can take a boat to the furthest on or it's about a 20 minute glorious woodland walk. The resort is very calm and other are loads of flowers. There are loads of great fitness classes - we all did morning yoga on the beach (free shoulder massage and green tea afterwards) and I also did sunset yoga, Pilates and zumba - and the class instructors were great with the classes set for all abilities. Water sports wise - there is everything and they do lessons - but you do have to pay. I think the kayaks were free though. The pool was a good size and popular with kids but not too busy. The food was amazing - so many desserts at the buffet and fab omelettes made to order at breakfast. There are chocolate pancakes too! The a large carte restaurant is also a must for even nicer food pretty much on the beach and try the beach bbq too!

Our rooms were great and many have at least a partial sea view - they are built into the hillside and there are outdoor lifts to take u up and down.

Activity wise I learnt to scuba dive while I was there and everyone at the scuba school was amazing particularly as I was so nervous. We also booked some trips through the hotel and had really amazing guides. The islands boat trip is not so worth it though (but I am comparing it to St Lucia and Cuba where where we actually got to go on islands and there was more in the water to see). Also definitely take the hotel shuttle into Fethiye for the Tuesday market (get there early to queue as it's really popular). I had a Turkish massage in the spa which was really relaxing although there are cheaper ones in town - but definitely go into the spa to use the sauna and Jacuzzi! The evening entertainment is worth going to too.

My parents love this hotel so much they're returning this September - we got quite lucky with nice weather most days in October but normally it's a bit cold in the evenings by then.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms near the amphitheatre as you do get a bit of noise from the entertainment till 1am.
