Just returned from a week at Cub Med and a week in hospital in Bodrum!

Shortly after arriving at Bodrum both my wife and I had heavy colds, which for me turned to bronchitis, The Club Med doctor sent me to local hospital where I stayed for a week. My wife stayed on at Cub Med and visited me each day. We were so impressed by the kind attention of all the staff at both locations, it almost made it an enjoyable experience!
Maybe we'll go back to really enjoy the super location , facilities and friendly staff at the Club

Room Tip: Although there is a golf buggie service try and get room near reception area as it's quiet hilly

We had our best beach holiday at this Club Med.
It has been refurbished and upgraded in 2009.
The location is wonderful setting. Ideal spot for Catamaran or Windsurfing.
Only small drawback: the beach is not with sand down to the water.
A big thank you to the team for having made this vacation son great.

I have just returned from Club Med Bodrum after a lovely week in the sunshine, and was it hot!! 39 - 40 degrees. We had August weather in June making our stay even better.
The staff were superb, always ready to help and full of energy. How they entertain for so long with smiles and stamina is amazing.
Flavia the Chef was everywhere what a lady! the Brazlian night was the best night of the week.
The bar staff were fantastic they only needed to serve you once or twice, and they would have your cocktails or drinks ready and waitng for you. Maria, Pinar and all the guys were just great., What a team!!
If you like watersports you could not choose a better place. Deco, Francois were excellent in teaching how to sail, the beaches are perfect.
The guests were very international, and the staff could all speak English, plus they teach you a little Turkish if you want to learn, its always nice to say thank you in their language.
The rooms were very clean and catered for all your needs.
Very few children, which for me is perfect.
The colour theme as with all club meds make it a bit of fun in the evenings I would recommend anyone who has not been there to go, they would not be disappointed.

We are seasoned Club Medders for winter and summer holidays and so know what to expect. This was a holiday with 4 adults. Note that there is very little for children to do other than join in with the adult stuff such as the water sports, snorkelling boat trip etc. This site is beautifully set out with lush terraced gardens going down to the private beach. There is a lift to bring you back up the 50 steps if you are feeling weak after a day of swimming and sailing! There were a few small issues which we have raised with Club Med already and these maybe of use to others. First the arrangements for using a late room on leaving day were haphazard ( and featured in a review in 2011 as well). So you need to be firm about getting use of a room to shower and change in if you have an evening or night flight out. Second note that the trips they organise such as Ephesus and Pamukkale may ony have a French speaking guide.

But overall great location, brilliant for windsurfing and Hobie Cat sailing with a very good team to help, great food as ever and you can break the week up with ( long) day trips to historic sites if you want to and also take the minibus into Bodrum for a morning ( 5 euros return).

If you want more luxury for adults only then go to Sinai Bay and if you want a mega activity holiday for all ages then go to Palmiye.

Room Tip: Tryo to get in block T or S as they are nearest the reception and pool

This was our first Club Med holiday, having joined a couple of friends for the week who have been to and loved many other Club Med resorts but had not visited this one before. We were all delighted with our very restful and regenerating stay. The site is not too big, with a total capacity of about 300, and it was about two thirds full while we were there, so it felt friendly and the staff were wonderful - it was easy to get to know people. We were blessed with perfect weather, and the very well maintained site looked beautiful with all he flowers and shrubs.
Our rooms was great, very clean, good bed and shower, sheltered balcony, not overlooked. Our friends did ask to move as theirs looked out over the main thoroughfare to reception and also had a view of the back of the kitchen block - they were moved to a much nicer view without fuss. The rooms have silent air conditioning, a real plus in the 37deg temperatures we experienced. One tiny negative was the very basic and awkward hairdryer in the bathroom - there are so many better ones on the market. I did wish I'd brought my own.

From the moment you arrive everything is there for you, toiletries, beach towels, drinks, snacks - and the FOOD!!! Well, more about that in a minute! We felt very looked after, the staff can't do enough for you and all seemed to enjoying their jobs.
The pool is sparkling clean without a whiff of chemicals, there are plenty of sunbeds, the bar service (most drinks inclusive) speedy, and then theres the foo.... You don't even have to walk down (or up from) the beach if you don't feel like it, there's a shuttle and a lift. We knew we needed those uphill walks though to counteract briefly aforementioned banquets.

Every night there is a different theme in the beautiful Terrasse Restaurant overlooking the turquoise sea. Turkish, French, Mexican-Japanese, Ocean, Chef's Specialities.... etc. There is a mind-boggling array of buffet style counters with some dishes pre-prepared and others speedily cooked to order. Very, very good, and after a couple of gourmandising days we had to rein back the desire to go back a try just one more dish and be sensible! There is plenty of fresh salad and fruit too, so healthy choices are abundantly available. Unlimited and good house red and rose wines - we didn't care for the white.
Lunches and breakfasts are equally good and we very much enjoyed lunches in the cliffside restaurant where the choice is a little more limited, but made up for by the proximity to the sea.
Proper freshly squeezed orange juice and smoothies at breakfast too, omelettes to order and a huge array of breads and baked goods besides the all the other usual, and some more unusual breakfast components.
Thank goodness for the activities available to burn off the cals - we variously enjoyed the sailing, tennis, archery, gym, walks, petanque, and aquagym, all well organised by the GOs. I want what they are on, as they also provided most of the energetic and very entertaining evening shows with great verve, going on to lead the dancing in the 'nightclub' afterwards.

About 80% of guests here are French, Brits are in a small minority. We thought that was a plus, and it definitely makes the evenings more elegant! It's good chance to practice the language, but lots spoke English too. There is a lot of smoking, but there's enough space to avoid the worst if you hate it. The Chef du Village, Flavia, and her deputy made regular rounds to chat to everyone
All in all an excellent week. We only left the site for boat trips and a mountain power walk, but wil definitely go back and will have a look at Bodrum town and local villages then - there's a bus stop right outside the gate.
Highly recommended!
A note about cost - we got an early booking discount and reckoned the price was worth every penny, we would never had had such good food, activities and service for the same money independently, plus avoiding the hit and miss of choosing restaurants!

We have been to many Club Med resorts but apart from Turkey all of them have been in Asia. The resort is Turkey is quite different and is (as expected) focussed far more on Europeans. This results in a less international feel to the resort. Nearly every guest is French speaking. We live abroad so this was no big deal but could be a bit of a shock if you are not expecting it. Best to brush up ona bit a French as everyone will talk to you in French.

The resort itself is very nice. Very clean, nice views, good rooms (for Club Med very good rooms) and great facilities. The water sports is second to noe with 9 Hobbie 15s and countless winsurf equipment. Despite the resort being full they was never really a wait for a boat and never a wait for windsurf equipment.

Food was good but mainly European. We are used to much more international fare in the Asian resorts. Entertainment was also OK but not to the level of the Asian Club Med resorts.

The beach is nice and thre are two boat trips a day for snokeling. There are no fish to see at the snorkling sites but the boat trip is worth doing.

Worth noting is that 90% of the people there seem to smoke and there are no non-smoking areas in the resort, which is a shame but I guess they cater for the majority of their visitors.

For us we prefer the more international feel of the Asian Club Med reorts although the Asian resorts do not have the sporting facilities that was on offer in Turkey.

Room Tip: Resort is on a hill and some rooms are a long way fromthe beach but lifts are available as well as a...
