“Learned about Rumi”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 28, 2014

This mausoleum & museum introduced us to Rumi & the mystic sect of Sufi in Islam. There are several glass cases with relics from Rumi, including clothing, books of his spiritual teachings, etc.

“Very popular and for good reason.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 26, 2014

There is so much to see and read about here that you will need at least a couple of hours and be prepared for crowds of people. We visited in the quiet season and it was still very busy, but as long as you are patient you will be fine. It was very interesting and made even more so by all the very devout religious people. There is a museum shop and a small cafe, but plenty of shops and restaurants just outside. You have to cover your feet with plastic shoe covers and there are scarves provided for women who don't have their own already.

“A joyful mausoleum!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 10, 2014

Who would think that a tomb could be so joyful and upbeat?! Well, that's the legacy of Rumi. This is a wonderful pilgrimage site and you get to see a nice variety of worshipers and Rumi lovers.
