We had a great stay at the Dervish Otel for a number of reasons:

1. The location is great -- just a 10 minute walk to either the Rumi Museum or Cultural Center (where dervishes whirl for free at 9pm every Saturday).

2. Service! Both Adam and Muammer were excellent hosts. Warm, friendly, and helpful. On our last day in Konya, we were leaving early in the morning before breakfast was served (which is excellent by the way) and Muammer was really kind enough to pack us individually wrapped breakfasts for us to eat on our bus ride.

3. Facilities. The Dervish Otel is brand new so is nice and clean. Wifi connectivity is great and there is an excellent salon downstairs where you can hang out, watch TV, or have some tea with your hosts.

For people who prefer B&B's, Dervish is an excellent choice.

This is a new hotel in walking distance to the Mevlana Museum and the main street of Konya. The hosts are superb...friendly, efficient, perfect english..they cannot do enough for you. There are 7 rooms. We had room 16 which had a king bed. The bed is very hard if that is a concern. Bathroom is compact with good shower. They have a huge downstairs area that is where breakfast is served and snacks/drinks available thruout the day and where we sat to use our computer as room does not have sitting area. Would definitely return

We were fortunate to spend four nights at this family run hotel and with owners like Muammar,
Mehmet and with Adam on the front desk any request for help seemed no problem. Muammar biked to a pharmacy to get medicine for me, took my wifes shoe to be repaired, saw us up town and took us for turkish pizza, no where I have been did I get this service from a hotel.
Breakfast was very good and the freshly cooked "french toast" was great. Each morning the atmosphere in the downstairs breakfast room with the other guests was like a family gathering. The bedroom we had was large with a window and good airflow. For me the bed was a little too firm however it suited my wife. The ensuit was small but being new all systems worked very well. The hotel is very centrally located and the restaurants Muammar suggested were all well priced with excellent food within walking distance. On a Saturday evening they drove my wife to the Whirling Dervishers show to ensure she got there on time and safely.
This is more than an excellent hotel at a very reasonable price. It was for us a home away from home with owners who wanted to make our stay in Konya memorable. They achieved this to the extent that when we had to move on to our next destination it was like saying goodbye to new found freinds..
Speaking english was no problem and Muammar was also fluent in German so he and my wife often conversed in this language.
You would miss a great experience if you did not stay at the Dervis Otel in Konya.
Thank you Adam, Muammar and Mehmet for your hospitallity

Room Tip: Try the fresh french toast and the poppy seed jam for breakfast. Talk to Mehmet about sites around K...

The hotel is in a really lovely converted ottoman house. It's exceptionally clean, very well located, a few minutes walk to the rumi museum and the cultural centre where there is a free whirling dervishes show on saturday nights. The breakfast spread is fresh and varied and the unlimited Turkish tea and fresh fruits is a nice bonus. Most importantly, the staff, in particular Muammar one of the owners, are helpful and hospitable, and recommended good restaurants and sites, as well as helping us arrange onward travel to pamakulle. Thank you for a great stay!

We stayed in this hotel in May 2012. It's an excellent choice, both for price and location. The three brothers running the hotel are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

The rooms we had (two rooms - four people) were small but clean and adequate. The hotel has only been open a short time. The owners were especially warm and helpful. They provided much good travel information. Later, they invited us to their home for dinner with other friends of theirs.
Breakfast was good. I liked the gated parking.
The hotel is in a great location across from the Mevlana Müzesi which is the top tourist sight in Konya.
