I cannot say enough great things about this place. The building is a beautifully restored 350 year old Ottoman house. My sister and I were given two adjoining rooms for the price of one room for our comfort. The owner came to the lounge area in the evening where we got to know one another.
He met us for breakfast the next morning and took us to the Mevlana Museum and then to several other places of interest. He then took us to a wonderful restaurant and treated us to Turkish style pizza, delicious and worth a try, after which he walked us around the area for a more through tour, to meet friends of his and to enjoy tea with them.
Of course he also sells carpets, so we ended our tour by making a visit to his most interesting shop. My sister bought one. Of course one always wonders if the prices and quality are good, but upon our further travels we learned that Konya was indeed the best place to get the lowest prices since it is not a tourist area.
We were then escorted to our bus as we left the city. What more could one ask for?

Room Tip: They all seemed good.

I arrived with my 82 year old father for three nights stay. The owners were really welcoming and helpful, with offers of free tea, fruit and water. We got good advice and loads of help throughout our stay. This is a renovated Ottoman era house. The rooms are beautiful, newly kitted out with with wooden floors, wooden ceilings, traditional closets and Turkish rugs. There are white walls and beds have a leather headboard. My room was double aspect and exceptionally spacious and clean. The shower was very large. Breakfast was lovely, bread, yogurt, honey, jams, cheese eggs. There is wi-fi access. Excellent location for the Mevlana. This hotel only opened at the start of 2012 and I wish them every success. Father and daughter from London , England

Room Tip: Personally prefer higher rooms but my father was on the ground floor and he was delighted

This is a new boutique hotel in a great location. The famous Mevlana museum is just a couple of streets away and there are lots historical sights, shops, restaurants and places of interest within easy walking distance.

The Dervish is a traditional Ottoman house that has been restored to a high standard with lots of beautiful wood, carpets and soft furnishings. Our room had a clean, modern bathroom and a lovely comfortable bed. The hotel offers free wifi and we could use our laptop throughout the hotel.

Another  outstanding aspect of the hotel is the welcome given by the gracious, English speaking owner Muammer. Although our arrival at the Dervish was delayed due to bad weather Muammer kept in  regular contact and came to meet us when we arrived.

Throughout our stay he provided us with useful information about Konya and the surrounding area and even made us a Turkish  home cooked breakfast one morning.

Muammer and his team made us  feel like special guests in their home - highly recommended.
