Local bazar filled with ordinary shops (shoes, bridal dresses, kitchen utensiles etc.) It has a covered part which is more touristic. Nice courtyards for a break

This is a market where you can find things that no longer exist. A sequin shop; a stall where toffee in 4 colours is carefully wrapped around a stick, vacuum cleaner bags for 10 year old machines - as well as wedding dresses and perfect cups of turkish coffee. Don't go looking for anything. Just stroll slowly around for a couple of hours - and let it all come to you.

Have visited this market on several occasions and always find new streets and stalls to look through, there are whole streets dedicated to specific items, weddings including dresses, shoes, lingerie, suits etc, household, haberdashery, you will always find what you want at a fraction of the cost elsewhere. Lots of little coffee shops to sit and watch the world go by although it can get a little tedious being approached by market traders. There are also ordinary shops with fixed prices if thats what you prefer. Organise your time to spend the whole day there, its well worth it!!

this is a brilliant authentic place to visit. you can find many copy brands for very cheap which is often hard to tell when compared with the real thing! I love to sit in the local coffee shops and "people watch" its very interesting!

There is sections where alike shops are clustered. You want shoes, there is Salepcioglu building, you want baby shower stuff, keep walking towards the end (you hit the boulevard), you look for kitchen appliances, then first find the Kizlaragazi hani. While there, find the center cafe at Kizlaragasi hani, have a Turkish coffee or tea and shop for souveniors in the stands around. This place just has everything, and dont worry about the street sales people inviting you in, just say "yock, suh-all" (written yok sagol, and rougly means no thanks) and keep walking.
