Lovely hotel which has recently been renovated. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Excellent location and only a few minutes walk from the sea front. I had a room with a balcony. Only downside is, there are 2 kordon hotels in Izmir and taxi drivers don't know the location of this hotel. When we arrived we were taken to the wrong hotel. I was there for a conference and this happened to many of the conference delegates. Even though the staff told us to ask for the 'old kismet' hotel, most taxi drivers still didn't know where it was.

This 3 star Hotel is very clean, nice rooms and very good staff. Would not hesitate to recommend.
The only problem is Taxi and Airport Transfer drivers have difficulty finding the Hotel as there are 2 Kordon Hotels in Izmir. The Hotel changed its name from Kismet Hotel and I would recommend anyone travelling there to ask for Kordon Kismet Hotel. I intend contacting Hotel Management with this comment.

Nice basic hotel with good sized rooms. However, the staff is less than friendly and helpful. My friend and I got stuck in their elevator and they completely ignored our traveling companions when they asked for help getting us out.

There are 2 Kordon hotels in Izmir. One near the quay and the chamber of commerce, It has a view over the bay and might be more expensive.
Kordon Alsancak is located in a small street behind the Efes Grand hotel owned by Swisshotel. Short walk from the Havas Shuttle bus. One block away from the Kordon. Dress maker opposite, manicure around the corner, spa wellness plus hamam and massage at the swisshotel at 2 minutes and last but not least Sakiz Resto -izmirs best kept secret - on the corner facing the Swisshotel Spa as well.

Staff at Kordon hotel -all male - are very helpfull. Your needs are attended to in no time.
Rooms comfortable. Not large but clean.

Room Tip: My room on 3 d flooor was very quiet. No traffic noise and notably no mosk waking me in the morning.

I stayed there with my family. It was good at all for first impression. Room and hotel has been new renovated. A very large bathroom surprised my wife. She care very easy to our little son. Breakfast has small option but with good service. Reception and concierge very friendly. It's in very good location. Near to Izmir Int. Exhibition and close to many attraction areas. We now where to go for the next visit.
